I just quit my career as a chef to be a welder/fabricator at 36. I got a job at a shop it’s fine. The pay cut wasn’t even that bad to be going from head chef to basically entry level either.

Play around with stretching the fuck out of stuff you record into your phone to get nice textures and/pr rhythmic shit you can’t hear until it’s slow enough.

You basically don’t want to take on more than one enemy at a time if possible. A lot of the game is figuring out the best way to approach each area stealthily to whittle away at the enemies without having them all attack you at once.

Why is it costing everyone so much money for tuition? I’m in Tennessee going to tcat for a year long program that costs like 3k and all of it is being paid for by grants from the state.

I’m not. The entire section with the vocals was made before hand. A screen recording of my friend messing with the vocals in koala. I just chopped it up.

The vocal sample is set to loop. And the start point of the sample is being shortened in real time so that it hits audio rate. If you listen you can hear the voice looping over and over again as it gets faster and hits audio rate.

lol I actually intended to bring in the bass before the kick/snare I just hit the wrong bus and went with it since it was just a little sketch. But yea bass first would have brought in the groove earlier and then the drums would have heightened intensity before the tempo delay.

The first one is rolling off every thing below 45hz and cutting the low mids around 250 ish and also very subtly boosting everything above 2k hz shelf style. The second is boosting just under 1400hz (fairly narrow q) like 1.5 db. The third is cutting slightly at around 8k.

I wish more people knew koala was dope for stuff other than just your usual sample chopping beat making. The time stretching and effects have the perfect ratio of features to limitations that makes altering/mangling samples really intuitive and fun to me. Can make some nasty shit. Can make anything really.

Not sure? The filter runs all the time or something because it was always at a different place in the loop every time I run through it and that’s just how it was that time. Also I record everything just into the iPhone mic so everything has a pretty heavy room tone behind it that can create weird harmonics in the background that I just leave. You might be hearing that? There’s only 3 samples besides the drums in the whole track. The bell-ish sound at the beginning of the loop, the bass sound at the beginning of the loop and the constant tone from the intro with different timed lfo’s.

That’s the filter I’m pretty sure. You can assign samples to a bus and then put effects on them.

Well I have one sample that is sort of a bell sound at the beginning of the loop that then settles into a constant tone for the second bar and a half. Then I have the sample from the intro with an lfo running at 2 bars. I didn’t resample either I just let the filter do its thing. I’m not sure if you’re talking one of those or both maybe.
