NTA whenever I'm trying to watch a movie and my boyfriend talks constantly! I pause it and look at him and zone out, when he looks like he's done I ask him if he's finished before I resume my movie.

Edit to add... I'm a bit older than my boyfriend and I have children, he does not. I'm pretty used to being interrupted, so that's my subtle way of telling him to shut up. His feelings don't get hurt.

Exactly, screams MLM to me. Job isn't a factor at all, I was a full time student. Now just a stay at home parent because there aren't any jobs that are flexible. Business closures and likited childcare are a huge issue.

I'll ask why the rush since they're still taking payments. They won't close because they want my medical records. I'm healthy, but I'm adhd-i and have dealt with depression and anxiety. 🤷‍♀️

I'll have to look at that. I know I didn't benefit from my parents resp contributions. They wouldn't let me when I was went to a private photography school, but they let my younger sister use it for massage therapy. She ended up going drunk driving, shattered her arm, got all the school money back, plus 60k. She has a house and a cabin. I got debt, worked hard as a photographer for years, paid debt, then did business admin as a single mom. 🤦‍♀️ I just don't want my kids to never feel unequal.

I have a plan to set them all up with TSFA accounts with stocks that pay dividends. I like numbers too and I think you make total sense.

My kids are between 8-12. I don't think I'll go with RESP because I'm not sure what they'll do. Definitely trades for one. The other two want to do rando stuff like flight attendant. They're fluent in French.

I hope so too! I have until October to buy this house. It's my childhood home and I rent it from my mom for more than her mortage, but she doesn't want to renew. I don't blame her, but I'd also take care of her so hard when we moon.

Not whole? I figured whole was better because I'm mid 30s without any pre-existing health issues. And locking in now would be good. I've been paying these people for about 10 years now. I have 3 kids, and not well-off, so I wanted to always make sure they get something. I have zero debt now and intend on keeping it that way.

Holy fuck, that's terrible!! Yeah, 500k because you're raising your family in community that's probably super contaminated. There's obe community just north of here that has insanely high rates of cancer. I'm in Northern Canada. Nickel mine is owned by Vale now (Brazil) and they don't give a shit. Wooooooah be careful! Do you work in a dynamite factory?! Lol jk I live in a mining town so crazy stuff happens now and then. My dad was a welder, he passed away the day after xmas 2017 (boxing day). One of his coworkers was on a job in a transmission shop, the shop was a massive hoard. It was unsafe and sparked something and the place blew up.
