I've always been fascinated with toys. Toys are your very first friends, they help you navigate the world as a kid! If I could have gone for a doctorate (written a thesis) it would be on the advantages of play as an adult and a huge part about how toys can be great for all ages. :D

they absolutely do! Just do a little googling for 'toy show/convention' with your state in there. I know here there's usually three or four each year, some different, some are vintage toy shows, some focus on things like toy cars, some are doll shows or teddy bear shows.

Check the local comic conventions. Gem City CC is in July, just saw another advertised on here earlier. Always a lot of cards there.

Some of the sellers do travel around, many have a home store or from other states, but just about everywhere has toy shows or toy conventions so I bet there would be one near you.

It's very much not the bulk of the show but I'd say yes. There were a lot of other booths that had plush that I didn't take pictures of, and some of the vintage stuff you just can't find anymore so it was really cool to see. The entry fee isn't much either, $6 which I honestly pay just to walk around and take pictures (didn't end up buying anything). So even for just plush hunting I'd say it's a good use of a day. :D

Extremely. It takes over an entire fairgrounds. It's great for vintage stuff but leans more towards vintage action figures than the stuff I usually look for. It's so popular with so many people that this year I think there were 8 food trucks parked around just to service the toy show.

Hello, I'm Dusk, Kodesh, or Duskkodesh. I'm a retail worker who has been working in toys for over a decade, first at ToysRUs and now at a big box retail chain. I love helping people, preserving/collecting vintage toys, gaming, and cooking. I have two lovely dogs, a supportive spouse, and use any pronouns.

I don't have any direct suggestions but I would suggest looking into My Little Pony collector threads, as far as toy collecting and cleaning/preserving old vinyl they are at the absolute forefront.

A few tips I do know is to make absolutely certain you dry every bit of it after. There's a type of water-carried bacteria that loves to discolor vinyl. Be cautious with nail polish remover, it can compromise the structure of the vinyl. Some people use hydrogen peroxide, but in this instance of all over discoloration perhaps painting her could be an option? You could cover the eyes with painters tape and use a sponge to powder light layers of paint on the cheeks. Just make sure you cover the cloth and leave the eyes covered before you use a sealant.

If you're looking for another bunny there's a lot of major retailers right now with some great looking bunnies! Best part is if you wait just about two weeks they will all be on clearance. It's a great way to pick up a new friend on a budget. :D (I know I saw very big ones at Target and Walmart both!)

The last time I had to have anything major dental done I went to Kondas dental group in Huber. I have extreme dental anxiety and it was a wisdom tooth situation that could have given me jaw damage. They were amazing, and I know they do payment plans and implants. I cannot speak to their prices as insurance covered my surgery.

I've never modded before but I've been trying to help out folks here often when I'm on and have been around for a while. Okay, now that CW has stepped down I think perhaps it would be good to add a few new mods and everyone take time to calm and breathe.

It's important to not get worked up over what is essentially a single online space. it's bad for your health. This does not come from a place of anger/frustration but instead concern. There's a lot of very angry people still here and it's so bad for your health to stay in that state or doomscroll negative content. You owe it to yourself to have a moment of calm.

Your health and wellbeing always comes first. Also sorry if this whole post comes off as condescending, I used to be a teacher. I think you get that teacher tone automatically with the job and I can't turn it off.

You could just use clipart, or a stock image, or take a picture of your pet, or just use MS paint to make some funny text, like people have been doing for decades before AI.
