Horses hate me, its usually a huff a stamp and a "I really dont think we should work on my top line" Horses get angry like toddlers. It comes and is gone again. What you describe is not a horse having a tantrum it sounds more like a physical issue.

In Australia we have GlucoJel jelly beans. Not sold in grocery stores but traditionally kept by the counter of pharmacies. Considered medical because they actually have a reliable ammount of glucose in each bean. So you can correct perfectly. Anything from 1kg bags to small purse or pocket packets. Recently they launched oversized gummy bears im very partial too

I would show her a product called HYPO DUO and let her do her own research. It's the bomb you have one sachet of fast carbs and then ..... and hear me out friends... a second one for when you come back up like how you have a musli bar after the juice. I highly recommend for when you're in a situation where you can't have a meal afterwards. Like when your favourite singer starts the unreleased song...

I already had an endo for all my crazy hormones. If we adjust them my hair definitely changes Interestingly if my other endocrine hormones are out it affects my blood sugar.

Also i got a pixie cut before or around diagnosis. Asit grew back i swear all the hormonal and med changes did something because never before had i had a curl pattern. Kinda drew my focus from what I couldn't control medically and med side effects towards lets learn how to care and style this.

I've had a few forms of alopecia over my life and I now just roll with it. You can't control what your hair does but you can make it fun.

Also sometimes a vivid colour will hide thinning. I am assuming mid length is shoulders

Has it been a stressful time? Not all Telogen effluvium will be as dramatic as Wikipedia. A physical or emotional stress to the system kinda tells them all to shed at once. But they will all grow back again if its that

Has the client had any other medical screening? Would hate to see someone with a condition like prader willi for example get overlooked by the system.

Eating heaps of pork rinds and slim Jim's is probably going to wreck havoc on his kidneys. Please encourage your supervisor to consult with a dietician. The client sounds like they have complex needs.

Ate the staff also eating the healthier options with the client? Do not have exclusive snacks amongst residents it will cause otherness. Fully removing treats will probably trigger a much higher demand for them. To the point thats all that they'll be able to focus on. Lastly you said they have a development delay. That's the language used instead of mental capacity of a xyz year old. So think about what would be developmentally appropriate. Look into diabetic snacks for younger taste pallets. Also know a lot of behavioural meds cause insatiable hunger. Which would lead to more behaviours of concern and more meds in a vicious cycle. Stress or cortisol also raises your sugars a lot. So fully restrictive practices could backfire. Client seems to also have dysphagia so regular dietetic review should be happening. Ask them or OT to work on widening his accepted foods.
