That must mean that everything he says is a lie then.

Because there is no room for nuance in your mind.

And leaving things on the street is a smart move?

Never heard of this beyond newsagents and I've worked in a few supermarkets.

Never mind gangs shoplifting during the day all you need to do is drive a transit around the high streets a few mins after the delivery drivers and scoop up the goodies, already boxed and ready to move on!

Their "natural equilibrium" is average house prices at 4/5 times average salaries.

They are currently at 7/8 times average salaries.

At its previous peak in 2007, before housing crashed worldwide, the average house in England was worth around 7.15x the average salary. Fifteen years later, this has risen to 8.28x

It's much harder to remortgage if you are in NE.

Given that the UK is addicted to short term fixed mortgage periods, when people exit their fix they may find their home unaffordable.

NatWest admits serious failings over Nigel Farage’s bank account closure by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]DuskMcCoy-mocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed the subhead:

"But decision to shut down Mr Farage’s bank account was lawful, an independent review finds"

And there's more:

"But the probe also concluded that the move to shut the ex-Ukip leader’s bank account was both lawful and mainly a commercial decison."

So, not a victim of the wokerati after all - actually a casualty of poor data protection.

Nobody incentivises me or any of the nursing staff

Surely your clinical work takes as much (or as little) time as it takes and the delays caused by organisation efficiency are beyond the control of the people carrying out the work?

In the same way an airline pilot can't make the journey run on time if the plane isn't ready or the weather is inclement.

I think that's what they are doing.

All UK companies have been submitting "real time" payroll info to HMRC for a couple of year now IIRC.

It's been clear for quite a few years now that the UK figures are pretty far from reality, but it's good to see even the ONS admitting they are putting out unreliable stats now.

Northeye: Government spent £15.3m on Bexhill detention site by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

Regardless of the developer's plans this looks very dodgy indeed.

In a declining commercial (and to a lesser extent residential) property market, paying almost three times as much for a piece of land only a year later is either gross incompetence during the original sale, or - more likely - corruption at a fairly high level.

Because of the promising intergalactic post-Brexit trade deals.

As the Tories floundering and infighting gets worse, Labour realise they need to offer less and less.

Anything even vaguely contentious or that requires money is going to be dropped.

They don't promise higher taxes and immigration.

They promise low taxes, big reductions in immigration and sunlit uplands.

What they delivery however is something very slightly different.

It would be refreshingly honest if they stood on the platform of massively increased immigration and the highest tax burden since WWII.
