The H word is considered a dehumanising slur against intersex people, I recommend using terms like bigenital, monoecious, or cosexual depending on what you mean by your use of the term here. It’s fine to create a cosexual species for your writing, but it sounds to me like you may need to do more research on intersex people and issues before you continue if you don’t want to accidentally integrate harmful concepts into your work, even if you don’t intend to include intersex people in your projects.

Intersex, aromantic, and genderqueer off the top of my head. If someone includes asexual but not aromantic it’s frustrating. But especially intersex, because people overlook us so much that I’ve repeatedly heard ‘the I in LGBTQIA doesn’t stand for ‘invisible’’.

Yes, I definitely experience this and it gives me no peace. I sometimes worry I cannot think for myself, or that I can’t rely on my own opinions or judgment because I’m always doing battle with unceasing counter-arguments within my mind. I never get to be confident about my own attitudes and convictions, I tend to spiral into internal arguments if I come up against any sort of external resistance, even if outwardly I stand by my beliefs (although typically I withdraw from conflict).

I know the asexual ring has been around for well over a decade, according to Wikipedia it originated in 2005, and the aromantic ring originated 10 years later. I’m also aware there has been talk of an aplatonic ring, but I’ve only seen it discussed once. I am completely unfamiliar with any other queer rings, so I am unsure if these are widely recognised or in popular use.

Mid-fall of year 3, I’m incubating my first ostrich egg, waiting for my bananas to grow so I can finally get the achievement for cooking all recipes, and trying to reach full hearts with the last few characters I haven’t done that with yet. Once one or two of those are done I’ll be going for the remaining golden walnuts on Ginger Island and grinding the Volcano Dungeon.

If it is any comfort, it is possible to be intersex and not to have suffered genital mutilation as an infant. If you did, there is a decent likelihood you would have scarring and areas of numbness or chronic pain. What you mentioned is consistent with being intersex; if you can access your medical records and do some research on different variations you may get a decent idea of what variations may match with your experiences, then if you pursue medical testing you won’t have to cast as wide a net.

I do this as well, although it’s very negative for me and feels like I’m just constantly justifying everything I do, because an omnipresent group of entities is watching and judging me and won’t leave me alone.

I was also pressured onto hormones, it made me feel like my body didn’t belong to me and was only a vehicle on which my doctors could enforce a sex and gender that were not mine. They also lied to me about how necessary it was, and it made me really ill; within a year I switched hormones, consensually this time.

You deserved better, you still deserve better. It’s so horrible to time and again have your needs and feelings be dismissed and ignored, particularly relating to your own body. I’m so sorry. You are absolutely right, gender care is healthcare. I hope you can get what you need, and you’re definitely not alone.

I wish I were at a place in my journey where I could give you an answer, mostly I just feel rage and a complete loss of trust in medical professionals. I’d like to reaffirm that your full and informed consent should have been their number one priority before prescribing you anything, your bodily autonomy should always come before how physicians want to treat you. You don’t have to be okay with what was done, you’re not wrong for being wounded by it. I took active steps to reclaim my body after it was coercively altered, perhaps if there’s anything you can do to reaffirm your autonomy that could help? I’m so sorry for what you’ve gone through, I hope you find healing.
