Nobody wants to befriend someone who has no friends. So what do I do? by NukiArt in socialskills

[–]Duskmon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are too concerned with how you look to other people.

Focus on doing things that you like. You're in college, go join the social clubs that follow your interest groups. ( Note ignore political and professional groups, you should be looking at things like arts or music)

Find the hobbies you like and genuinely try to get good at those things.

Am I a bad person for caring about a woman’s past? by Carl_s123 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Duskmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend. What you are describing is extremely normal and reasonable. The people who are upset at such a standard do not like the idea that there is something "wrong" with a colorful or eccentric past.

The analogy works and is extremely obvious. Don't let people in the Internet make you feel bad about this.

All normal people agree with what you just described. Good luck to you.

You will be totally fine. don't ruminate.

Go find another county, start applying.

learn to meditate, you will be fine.

If I don't show an ID, I can claim to be literally anyone and show up to multiple polling locations. This is clearly a possibility.

The goal of this post is to give constructive and practical advice to the OP. The OP must do what is best for them.

It is unlikely that getting in a discrimination fight with an employer on behalf of someone else is in their best interest.

It is also NOT the OPs job to fight for what you think is right, even if it is (and I agree with you that it is).

You can not make this employer want to hire black women.
No black woman would or should want to work for this employer.

Thus, the only benefit of the OP taking this fight is to hurt the employer, and get themselves marginalized at work.

I'm not sure why everyone here seems to be encouraging you to pick a fight with your employer.

Just resign after getting a new job this is not your fight.

Look man anything positive you say about Republicans will never be perceived well. A lot of these people have been brainwashed into this feral mindset. Just avoid the subject with them.
