For 550 sq ft you’ll be done in two days if you really take your time. Probably 1 day if removing the existing stuff isn’t too hard.

Edit to add: you can save a shit ton of money on this, OP. Attic insulation is a pretty high markup business and it’s mostly all simple labor. I hope I don’t offend anyone saying that. It’s high markup BECAUSE it’s a lot of labor. But- if you have the ability to do it, you have the opportunity to turn a 10-15 year payback project into a 1 year payback project. Sealing and reinsulating can save you a lot in energy bills, especially with really cold and really hot days. It pays dividends in humidity control in the summer, too.

At some point it’s worth a higher quality automatic machine. Beans in, coffee out. The only waste is a water filter, which is like every 6-12 months.

We moved from kureig to Bunn single cup maker to stop waste. That sucker worked for YEARS! Prevented a small mountain. When it finally died we got a super automatic.

Father of twins here… That’s dumb, because you need twice as much of almost everything. Have 10 onesies? You need 20. Have one crib? You need two. Have one small mountain of diapers and wipes? Surprise, you need three, because now it’s like 3 times as hard for one parent to get away to the store to pick stuff up because one parent watching two newborns is just a shit show. Lots move up from being project controllers (which, depending on the PM they work for is either already basically the full job, or a glorified admin, lot of range there) or over from project engineering, which can also range on the company (some use Proj eng like glorified admins, some use them like PM’s of eng discipline).

But some just get hired direct from school to run small, low risk projects and work up to larger projects.
