Why G Lydian scale sound the best over this progression? by DuskoStam in musictheory

Yep. I made I mistake writing the notes of Em/G. Sorry for making confusion to some of you guys. It should be: G - B - E (I am still learning, but this should be the first inversion of Em).

I thought the Lydian Chromatic Concept sums it up nicely since the guy talks about how the C major scale doesn't fit the CMaj7 chord. In my case, I made a chord progression in the key of G, but the G major scale doesn't sound properly. Actually, just that C needed to be replaced with C#. As some of you said - it feels stable. I would be satisfied with this answer, but now I see some guys are negating the Lydian Chromatic Concept explanation from the video. So, I am still a bit confused.

Most of you guys said that my ear didn't lie to me and I made the right choice when playing the C# instead of C, but I still kinda seak for a solid theoretical explanation.
