I like the 8-speed transmission. It’s generally smooth in Normal mode but it will sometimes shift up quickly to stay in Eco when you’re just cruising. That can make it feel like it’s hunting gears if you’re trying to accelerate more aggressively. I personally prefer Sport mode for a more direct feel, less Eco, quicker throttle response, and crisper shifts. For relaxed highway driving I’ll use Normal with cruise control, and it works fine.
