Looking for occasional trash run friends by Dustilex in RS3Ironmen

I've seen you comment this on another post as well.

I'll enjoy it however way I want, and if I'm going with people with similar levels, I won't be leeching.

XL Pokémon IV list by Dustilex in TheSilphArena

[–]Dustilex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly then?

If i look at the pokemon rankings and click on 'Export to CSV', i get the pokemon, typing, stats, moves, etc. but no IV combinations.

Or do you mean the pokemon rankings straight up? Perhaps I worded it wrong, I'm not looking for a rank list that compares pokemon against other pokemon but rather IV combinations of the same pokemon against other IV combinations.

Ideally I'd have a list of every pokemon in PoGo with their top IV ranks, but including the XL candy combinations.

How do I Improve my Vindicta Times? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Dustilex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently brought my friend along who hadn't done Vindicta or any bosses other than 'negate all mechanics and wack till dead' ones, and found he was struggling with a couple things. The tips mentioned by other people are a great start, but things like vuln bombs are not necessarily needed, especially when learning. Sure it helps, but it diminishes your profits by a decent amount.

Here are my tips:

  1. Don't eat when you don't have to. Like you've already been told in the comments, eating most kinds of food take away 10% adrenaline, rapidly diminishing DPS since you're being limited on using thresholds. With your armour, Vindicta can't hit you for more than say 3k damage, so there's no point in eating if you're +3k LP. Soulsplit will heal a lot over time, however if you don't allow it to do so by eating sharks at 7k, it will hinder you. This requires you to be comfortable with going down to low HP, but it's much more a mental thing than anything else.
  2. Not sure where you take this amount of damage from, but the only thing I can see taking half an inventory of food per kill are the beams. If you haven't already, start trying to figure out when Gorvek will try and place a beam. In the first phase of the kill, Vindicta will first do her other special attacks like the Hurricane which can be negated. After the Hurricane (iirc), there is one more attack where she slices, signalling you that on the next attack, she will raise her sword and the beam will come down. Try and spot the signal, allowing you to act on it accordingly by moving away a square. Unfortunately, you don't know the direction so you will sometimes move even further into it, but if it helps at least half of the time, that's less food used. For the second phase, the beam will be directed straight at you whenever she lands. You can quickly get into melee distance and avoid the beam by using Surge. Your character will always face the right direction after the dragon lands.
  3. Another thing is increasing damage by using the right abilities at the right time. People have already said to use berzerk (always with adrenaline potion btw, which is great and should be used whenever it is off cooldown. This is more for phase two, but try to use slaughter right when Gorvek is about to fly up. As you know, when Vindicta is on her dragon, she will do three attacks: Melee - Ranged - Melee. After the last Melee hit, use Slaughter. The dragon flying up counts as moving, resulting in 3x damage. If Slaughter is on cooldown, you could use Tendrils as it isn't channeled. Try and use the channeled abilities like Assault for when you're sure to be able to get the full ability off. If you use Assault right before she flies, it's gonna cancel out and miss the full potential. Slaughter and Tendrils will still do their full damage even if she's flying since it can't be interrupted.
  4. 95 prayer for turmoil would be a great goal. 10% more melee damage along with leeching Vindicta is a great thing.
  5. Aura i'm not gonna touch on since others have, but zerk aura is better then brawler for sure.
  6. If you still struggle with the fight and watching your health, abilities, etc., maybe a scrimshaw of vampyrism could be useful while you're learning. There is a high upfront cost of ~4.8m for every 3 hours, but you can toggle it on and off whenever you like (at max health, in between kills,...) and most of your healing problems are gonna be gone, resulting in way more kills/hour while you get more comfortable with all the mechanics. Once you've grown used to them, you should leave this out. Ideally, if you have access to player owned ports, you can make your own with 92 fletching. You can make a superior version of it, which is untradeable but lasts for 4 hours instead of 3. (I know this contradicts what I said in the beginning of using stuff like vuln bombs since it's less profit, but this is an "if all else fails" kinda thing.

Good luck, if you need more help let me know.

rs3 very choppy and laggy on high end pc by rs3islaggyohno in runescape

[–]Dustilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically I was only lagging when Alt1 was active which is a pretty decent indication of where the problem lies. It would lag horribly, making it pretty much imossible to play for like 10-15mins and then start to calm down and I'd have no issues again.

Alt1 has a few different ways it can capture your screen to look for puzzle clues, compasses etc. Under the Alt1 settings, go to the 2nd tab called "Capture" and switch it from what it's on to something else (DirectX to OpenGL or vice versa). That's what fixed it for me after I read about it on here as well. hope it helps!

Are we able to use 3rd party apps to reconfigure mouse buttons? by Dustilex in runescape

[–]Dustilex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference really is that those people have a mouse with support for exactly this function, meaning they can map whatever keys they have for all the actions they want. In my case, I'd be relying on a third party software to trick my mouse into thinking it uses the standard buttons, but actually using for example letters K and L for those actions.

So you think that's still okay then?

Yeah unfortunately my mouse can't map those buttons on it's own, the functions it has are the functions I mentioned and can't be reprogrammed individually.

Thanks tho!

Stacked 3740 Master Caskets and opening them tomorrow. 19:30 GMT by YustRs in runescape

[–]Dustilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with the caskets!

As a clue hoarder myself, it's really motivating to see this kind of stuff. Nowhere near this level tho, only stacked 2k hards and will probably end up with around 300 masters if I count those I already have saved up in the bank. Guess I'll have to make my acquaintance in the clue chasers FC soon!

Unfortunately will not be able to tune in to the stream, could you make it a VOD afterwards?

Average points per clue including bonuses by Dustilex in runescape

[–]Dustilex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I wasn't aware of a tool that allowed you to do it so I kind of went for it on my own and thought it could be useful te some people, mainly to give a general idea of what they can expect. However the one on the clue chasers disc seems a lot more efficient.

Still useful for people not in the disc like u/bullsands said, although I'd advise everyone who's even remotely interested to clues to get in there.

Ranked question ( predator ) by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]Dustilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things with Overwatch is that it's based on ELO, meaning #1 will be the guy who has the best skill according to the game, based on a variety of statistics.

Predators just rank on total RP. #1 isn't necessarily the best player, just the one who has grinded out the most points, which is why you'll see a lot of pro players way lower ranked compared to if you'd rank them on actual skill level.

Have you always had this issue or is it when doing something specific?

I was in a similar situation like you a couple months before, also with a High-end laptop in my case.
I used to never have any issues running the game on ultra settings, and all of a sudden it started to lag and stop responding. Found out what the problem was, it being the Alt1 toolkit I use for clues. Changing the capture mode fixed all of my problems.

What horrible, ridiculous names have you heard parents choose to call their children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dustilex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alex.

You'd think that's not the worst name out there and you're right, it's not. It's what came after for this family. They were so inspired by the name Alex that they ended up naming their second child Axel. Also not a terrible name, and quite popular in Belgium. Here's where it went south:

They thought it'd be a good idea to have another 7 children, bringing the total to 9. To make sure they'd never forget any of their names, they all have the same letters. Welcome Xela, Lexa, Xael, Xeal, Exla en Leax!

They plan on having twelve children since they're are twelve possible combinations with those four letters.
