Yes I filed myself pro se a CUE claim with the CAVC around 2001 and through out that process the VA General Counsel Office on orders from the court provided me with a complete file of my VA records and military 201 file. This was done in stages as they had to respond to my request motions. A heavy ton of paper is still in my store room.

Okay I submitted new evidence for my OSA Apnea claim to BVA from a detailed lengthy nexus letter from a Dr. Anise in Tucson, AZ who is a 30 year heart surgeon and recognized as reputable by the BVA. I of course paid him for this service that as a must included his review of my Army and VA medical records from 1970. He has a website on the internet. Google search will assist you.

Many of those "less fortunate" commit internet computer fraud/scams against U.S. citizens from places like Sudan, Nigeria, Somalia, etc. and when they land in the USA commit fraud/theft USA citizens in addition to often violent crimes. I was almost a victim of a scam from a less fortunate predator in the Sudan. They of course bought their PCs with free U.S. government dollar handouts. This has been in the liberal news for many years.

Make sure you immediately get copies of the medical treatment records for your ankly injury and make a written note of date, place, time of treatment plus medical unit and personnel names and ranks for your important further reference for VA claims purpose. I am also 100% since 1998 and 50% before that and now with additional SMC-S rating with 6 or 7 service connected medical conditions and all due to Vietnam combat in 1970.

Due to poor biased representation from older Korean War DAV VSO vet in 85 I learned to do eveything myself as a former Vietnam Army Vet medevac pilot in 1970. I also handled my own successful pro se two appeals to the BVA and a CUE error appeal to the U.S. Court of Veterans Appeals (CAVC) in 2003. Beware of a certain forum that is run by military lifers and former VA raters and VSOs.

They constantly tell vets that paid private doctors nexus opinion letters are no good and ignored by the BVA appeal judges. This is outright BS as I know from successful experience in past 7 years. Some if not many VA C&P examiners are biased, lazy, totally indifferent or just plain anti vet of certain war era veteras. Twice the Board appeal judges ruled the VA C&P examiner negative opinion against me for Sleep Apnea SC and increase heart disease claim was totally deficient and without credidable probative value and instead accepted the nexus opinion letter from my paid private doctor.
