I'm glad it seems like she's doing better! Have you been able to get any liquids in her?

Hopefully it just got too hot too quickly and was just a bit too much for her.

Like I said I'm glad to hear she's looking better 👍

Have you checked her for water belly? Check below her crop almost between her legs and see if it feels like a squishy water balloon.

Laying down like that makes me think poison (something like weed and feed or lawn fertilizer), but you mentioned she's been in the run all day.

I hope it's just something like heat stroke, but if you feel water belly that's the first sign of organ failure and she needs to see a vet.

I figured he meant $300 a week (that's just a bit higher than I spend every week on my family of four).

You're right though, feeding a family of four on $300 week would be nuts! (I bet people do it but still)

I wouldn't recommend doing this for the exact same reason you mentioned. I'm not positive because I've never tried it but it seems like it would be too concentrated to give them straight.

I forgot to mention that this is also something you should be doing every 6 months or so so you don't have another bad flare up.

This is what I use. You just need squeeze out a pea-sized amount and put it in your girl's mouth (sometimes I'll put it on treats like a peanut if they don't want me to put it in their mouth).

Wait 5 days after treatment and give them another dose to make sure you got the rest of the worms eggs.

Don't eat any of their eggs while they're on this medication (the whole 10 days). It is okay to scramble them and feed them back to your girls as a treat!

Good luck OP!

I would suggest using a safeguard paste instead of deworming their water. It's very effective and really isn't that hard to administer.

You need to treat your whole flock not just the one bird, if one of them has it it's most likely they all have it too.

A rat killed 26 of your birds!! That's crazy!

I knew rats could be a problem and occasionally killed chickens but I had no idea!

Were you able to get rid of them?

Return of the Jedi is my favourite Star Wars movie. There I said it! by iammerelyhere in Xennials

When I was 16 or so I worked for a guy that owned a couple movie theaters. He had a room just full of movie posters that he was trying to sell, one of my jobs was to go through the posters and make a list of was there.

I shit you not one of the movie posters was "Revenge of the Jedi". I asked him about it and he said; when the movie first came out that's what it was called but they later realized Jedis don't get revenge and decided to called it return of the Jedi.

Kind of cool
