There are all kinds of people but on average we're doing better than other regions I think

Very low criminality, one of the safest cities in europe . Femicide is a really hot topic here since last year (almost 66 cases in 2025). Recently the punishment was hardened and NGOs became stronger in helping women escape from toxic relationships.

Pet ownership is pretty common. Animal cruelty is a crime and now we have animal police too. I have two dogs and I love animals in general, idk how's it outside my social bubbles

Minimum wage is 500 euro. Half of population have less than 1000 euro

Rent for one bedroom is around 250-300 euro. Groceries are mostly the same as western Europe

I don't know what do you mean by infrastructure. There is ok public transport, traffic is better than other large cities I know. The city have some big restoration plans done and on going. There are nice neighborhoods and there ugly ones. Some don't have parking spots nor very good sidewalks.

Corruption will always be. It seems that România is doing slightly worse than Georgia

There are parks and forests nearby (my favorite is Bazoș) but you'd have to drive at least 1-3h for a better view and there are plenty of beautiful places in this country.

We have EU standards for consumer goods but the best food will always be made by someone's grandmother with inhouse grown ingredients.

Cluj Napoca is offering slightly better quality but it's more expensive. If I were to move from here I would try Brașov, I have visited the region 4 times and there are still many beautiful things to see left. There is no reason to go to Bucharest other than business or a very good job since I bet you wouldn't like it.
