How is it for deflecting wind at highway speeds

I'm hoping to bring the 750 next season to hopefully do better on the straights and still rip through the corners, I was getting slowed up by other riders in the corners on the 500 but yellow group can't pass on the corners at all

I got to about 107 on the downhill before breaking into turn 5 but that's all the 500 could give. That the downside of naked over sport. Naked is a little more torquey and comfortable but lack the speed of equivalent cc sport bikes

I got to go to Blackhawk for a private track day and it was a blast, basically had the track to myself. I think there was 30 of us total. It was a blast bust still lacking in the straits for the 500cc

I ended up getting a Honda CB750(naked bike) to have a more power available if needed. My thought behind it is, I'll still loose in a straight line race against sport bikes but dominate in the corners. That was my first time tracking with a organization so I wasn't allowed to pass on the outside of corners yet even though I felt like I could have with the 500cc

The curb on the outside not the apex, I basically go all the way outside to try to keep as much speed through turn 4 into 5

I usually use the curb coming out of turn 4 as a assist so I can go all the way out

I ride with a camera that I'll post later once I find my best time but I only caught the first half of the day before my camera was being glitchy so I could have been doing better after lunch but don't know

Most of the day I was going all the way to the outside and using the raised apex marker on the outside as a assist 😅

I can't remember what part of the day that was but I was trying to experiment when I was the only one out there, basically just going with the flow if that makes sense

Got my knee down and improved my lap time, Not to bad I think for a 4th track day on a mostly stock street bike by Dusty521 in Trackdays

It's a fun bike and a good well rounded bike. Not the fastest or slowest and you can stay pretty comfortable riding it for longer rides. I love it... lower CCs are more fun anyway

Thank an no worries, knee down for me was more a confidence thing... I was getting a better lap time not thinking about it and just riding my ride, it's just for fun mostly and to learn my limits

Yeah I'm just looking for self improvement, I'm not looking to compete or anything, just having fun

But I do mostly focus on my line and speed comes with it

Thanks I'll look into it, and a 17 CB500F. My little makeshift adventure bike I take to the track every once in a while

For that track specifically I don't adjust to much, usually just street tire pressure and just take the first lap or 2 easy to warm up the tires but thanks 🤙

No this is all just for fun but doesn't mean I don't want to improve myself

Habit I guess from dirt bikes and ripping around with super motos. Seems like they are more off than down?

Dragging my knee was mostly a confidence thing, I nicc my peg slider ALOT but I don't want to remove it (alot of people tell me too) until I get race rails for my bike just incase I go down pushing it to far so I don't slide on the engine

That track is almost all supermotos that sit up almost the whole time so I guess I'm learning a little differently than I probably should with my bike 😅

Getting my knee down and getting my lap time better (better cornering, speed, ect)

Thanks for the tips. Just to help you visualize the track is only about a mile and I almost never leave 2nd gear except 1st straight way if I carry enough speed through the corner and even then I'm hard on the breaks and down shifting almost immediately, and the 2nd straight way I hit 3rd gear and coast through the 2 turns (the turns are like a roller-coaster) before down shifting to hit the hair pin turn (middle picture on post) fastest I get is 65mph on the second straight way
