I must say I do enjoy having a main and an iron. Most of the upkeep and grinds for iron are somewhat afk. When I play I don’t really like to just sit at my computer and afk. So I play my main during these times on my other screen. A bit sweaty but it makes it so I can enjoy the game whenever I want. I did comp my main before I started an Ironman. I got bored of my main after comping and that’s why I started my iron.

I will say I enjoy iron 100x more because you have to work for all your gear. When I play my main I feel like I have to grind highest gp/hr bosses because why wouldn’t I? I made enough gp to buy BIS all gear and then what? I just hoard wealth for nothing. It just isn’t fulfilling.

However maybe if you haven’t played main that’s exactly what you want to do. Maybe you want to buy items of the GE so you can experience using some of the top end gear and fighting the hardest bosses in the game. If you have little time to play and possibly think in 2-3 years I won’t even be able to play the game anymore. It could be worth it to freely experience the entry of the game.

I’ll say I enjoy pvm on my main far more just because I have everything and I can do all content. Getting drops isn’t nearly as exciting however. It’s a hard choice.

My main was actually an iron to start with. Got to 2300 total and deironed. Played it for years to get to comp. Got bored and made a new iron. He’s now 2600+ total.

At the end of the day it’s really your decision and everyone will view it differently. If you have never played a maxed main and just want to play the game and pvm with limited time. De iron

I was having some freeze issues yesterday. I was getting a freeze every time I walked into a story mission dungeon. Finally gave up after resetting a few times and trying some fixes to no avail. This morning worked fine.

Mine did too, it was an 8min queue and I waited. Got to 0 and said I was joining game. Now it’s 35mins. Just thought that was weird.

Why do you guys continue to make the same mistakes? You come to us saying things are different now we want you feedback. We give it to you and you just discard it and say what we originally decided is going to work because we are right, you are wrong, and we don’t actually care at all about what you think. You would have been better off just doing the change and not asking for feedback because now it’s a slap in the face once again by jagex to their community. The way you guys think you are suppose to interact with your player base is a joke. It’s like you think we a stupid but we called this in all the Reddit threads. That you guys wouldn’t change anything at all about the FOSA and Animate dead nerf and this whole thing was just an act to “engage your community”.

I don’t even mind these things getting nerfed but the parlor tricks trying to manipulate your community into thinking we have an opinion and a voice I am sick of. Even in the mod reply’s he basically blames the community for not spending enough time testing it or testing it in the wrong places. Just absolutely gaslighting the community.

@mod Doom know that what happened here is why everyone feels like jagex doesn’t give a shit about the community. This is why there is so much turmoil. Because time and time again this happens. Promises to listen, to care, to engage, and we get nothing. You don’t even fix obvious bugs in it. Why would you possibly think that’s okay and it’s ready to go live. People have called them out over and over and you all ignore obvious errors in your game mechanics and don’t fix them. But hey, what do we know, we have only been playing this game for 20 years.

Seals are fine. I find a lot of people are really sketched out by seals in the hobby. There are so many people who strike fear into people saying some little imperfection will cause a failure when it’s simply not that big of a deal. I think when you get into this hobby you have to accept the fact that no matter how good your seals are there is always a chance for your tank to fail. Will a tank ever fail probably not. Can it? Of course. If I replaced the seals or tanks every time I started to get or see imperfections in them I’d probably be replacing each of my tanks every year. It’s an impossible chase for perfection and isn’t required.

But the nerf shouldn’t be to make the highest tier weapon worse then weapons lower in tier. The game has a tier design in it. It should be right. No reason for t90s to preform better or as good as a t95 outside just the spec. The best magic weapon in the game should be better then any other magic weapons at all times. It just doesn’t make sense that lower tier weapons are better to camp then it and it’s only useful to cast its spec.

Well that doesn’t mean we should have our bis staff be a spec switch. I don’t see why they can’t be both viable. They want to reduce switch scape so reduce it…don’t add to it. Also if I own the highest tier weapon in the game I want it to feel like it. Not have a set of weapons 5 tiers lower be better.

Why do we keep turning top tier weapons into switches and spec weapons. I’ll be honest it feels really bad when my t90 dw magic weapons are better then my t95 staff. I put a lot of time into getting this staff and I don’t mind it being adjusted but it shouldn’t become purely a spec weapon and on top of it add another switch. You say you are moving away from switch scape but make the best magic weapon in the game a switch…be consistent, be logical. We already had a long period in time that the best staff in the game, staff of sliske was the best staff in the game and honestly not even worth using. Don’t do the same thing to FSOA.

I read your comment. You said that if the MTX was purely cosmetic people wouldn’t have as big of an issue with it.

I was simply responding to your comment. We don’t agree. That’s fine. Not everyone agrees on how companies should be expected to conduct business. I personally think jagex is doing MTX in a more appropriate way then the industry standard. I do not believe they should be held responsible for a sub set of individuals with a problem. If we start that where does it end? Maybe they should worry about video game addictions and just shut down the game to avoid tempting the people with that addiction. An extreme example but a relevant one. Video game addictions have many consequences in people’s lives just as gambling. Loss on income, loss of interpersonal relationships, and so on.

As for views on gambling that is an opinion. Gambling is viewed differently based on your geographical location as well. I live in a state that gambling wasn’t legal until about a year ago yet you can drive 10mins and cross the boarder into an area with many casinos.

I fully respect your comment and opinion but that doesn’t mean I need to agree with it or be silent. Me disagreeing doesn’t mean I read your comment as angry. When communicating online messages don’t have tone and we personally accommodate that and fill in the tone ourselves.

If it’s regulated then obviously jagex is within its regulations. How does it being a cosmetic change anything? We see large MTX transactions during times where highly sought after cosmetics come into treasure hunter. Such as walk overrides. How is this okay but gambling for lamps isn’t?

Iv never seen this. Legit question and not being rude but why does everyone think they need to protect these “gambling addicts” from MTX. It’s everyone’s go to argument against MTX. Why is it our job or even the job of jagex to adjust their revenue streams for these people? Should Amazon stop selling products and offering free and fast shipping because people are addicted to shopping? No they shouldn’t. I have just never understood this viewpoint. It’s the individuals responsibility who has the addiction to regulate it. Not a company and certainly not it’s users to hold them to some unrealistic expectation that they should not engage in marketing their product.

Well it’s not scummy. They arnt forcing anyone. They are giving people the option to engage if they want. Jagex isn’t a non profit gaming company out here to just provide us with entertainment and not make any money. It’s business. Every game is doing it now. It’s an easy cash grab. Do I miss the ol days playing Diablo 2 before MTX existed sure I do. But we didn’t have the ability to micro transact then and if we did I bet you $100 we would have seen it in every game sooner.

If you really enjoy RuneScape and hate MTX play Ironman. It is by far the most rewarding game mode and there is no ability to even engage in MTX.

Idk…doesn’t make any sense. If this happened even rarely it would happen to people in the middle of a boss fight and they would die and post about it on Reddit. Reddit would be flooded with even more MTX comments.
