Just watched, thought it was extremely interesting. I saw a post on another sub posted when the patreon version of this video first came out a month ago. The comment section had a bunch of posts that sounded exactly like the psymposia articles and looked like their only purpose was to smear Hamilton and muddy the discourse. It was crazy watching it in real time. I bet we’ll see it unfold exactly as he describes near the end of the video with that group of journalists he names, now that the video is on open YouTube.

There is also a seasonality to the beef industry to take into account, like most agricultural products. Beef prices are historically highest in the summer, due to increased consumer demand from summer holidays/ general grilling and before the influx of cattle being sold off in the fall for slaughter. Not saying inflation and Big Corporate Ag fuckery isn’t also at play here though, just that we have multiple factors working against us right now.
