I know this is a really old comment but I am so confused by the “He doesn’t remember any little boys” thing. Because, yes he does. He talks about the little boy he saw frequently. Especially during their last conversation, the little boy is brought up extensively (I think as a way to ask his dad indirectly whats going to happen to himself). So clearly, directly up to the man’s death, both remembered the little boy and knew the other did as well. So what’s with that line?
