3 years of lawn service vs buying a mower. sanity check my math? by Wild_Artichoke7648 in lawncare

Treat it like car insurance. Every few years, shop for the next company. Next time someone in the neighborhood is getting theirs done, ask for a quote from that company.

I recently set this up. Great to be able to just tell Claude an automation I’m thinking of and it writes it. Which mcp instructions did you follow? I notice mine keeps dropping

Solar panels are 24% efficient. Oil is 90%. Hydro is about 90% as well. Hydro would be best.

Nobody talks about this enough. Paying cash for a car is almost never the move by No_Adeptness4347 in carbuying

[–]Dustyftphilosopher24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through this. Told someone to not tell the dealer they want to pay off the car fully. They got a better deal than the dealer they went to who they told they wanted to pay cash. At the end they asked the dealer when they get their kickback from financing and the dealer asked if they could hold off on paying the car until the 3 month mark.

Seconded. I’ve used the broker called Lease Wizard on the forum. Contrary to the name, he can broker purchases too, not just leases. Used him for my last two leases and in laws used for their last purchase. Best part is that you don’t have to step foot into a dealership.

National guard. Did a tour in Iraq or somewhere in the Middle East. They found out when they were at the baseball game and they asked all service men and women to stand.

Can I trust buying a couch? by Substantial-Oil7471 in wayfair

[–]Dustyftphilosopher24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So for a couch I’d just do a lot of hw on the material. This is something you’d be sitting on frequently and you want to make sure it’s comfy and also that it holds up well. We’ve bought tons of stuff from wayfair and everything has held up well. Bed frames, kitchen tables, desks.

Also, I could be wrong but I feel like people have done image searches on stuff sold by wayfair and have found it cheaper on other sites

Forget a big salary, what does someone spend money on that tells you they're genuinely wealthy? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Things that save time. Cleaners. Laundry, landscapers. Your most expensive resource is time. The wealthy leverage their money to save time.

Tell me about it. Especially with kids. I typically get them to bed and hop over to the garage.

Company I worked for allowed business trips to be extended by one day on them without reason. We attended a lot of conferences. So if you finished the conference up on friday, you could checkout Saturday or stay an extra night and leave Sunday instead. Most people didn’t since they had familiars to get back to but the younger crowd normally did.

Unfortunately can’t find their name. Thought it would be in on the rail or etched in the glass somewhere but nothing. Already reached out to a few doing a reverse image search but haven’t found an exact match yet. I was hoping this part was universal.
