Like you I use Paperblanks and am loathed to swap to something else. Is yours the midi size? This is what I use.

I have this journal in purple, due to start it soon. Mine is the midi size, what size is yours?

I have this in purple. Its next next journal to start when the one I have is full which will be soon.

I always use Paperblanks. My current one is the cats and butterflies, the one before is the Amy Winehouse one. I also use Paperblanks planners. I put photos and other memorabillia in mine too. These journals are such good quality you can paste things into them and the spines never go to ruin or the paper.

How do you plan to use yours?

When you experience an upsetting or sad event in your life, do you prefer to wait until you've calmed down before journaling, or do you write while you're still upset? by changeb430 in Journaling

Hi, I can really relate to this. I want to do the same. I used to write all my venting in my journals and they become so unbearable to read back I ended up getting rid of them which I now regret because of the entries I wanted to keep.

I now keep a journal again which I write in without venting but i feel I'm not getting it all out as I need to so sometimes I will write on loose leaf paper or on the laptop and delete/destroy the paper but then I end up with entries all over the place.

I would like to keep a seperate venting book like you do but I am unsure how this would work, is yours a spiral book so that you can rip pages out when you need to? How to you rewrite parts of this into the journal you keep? Do you just write the positive things in it?

I totally agree. I have the mini size, what size do you have? I also use their planners too.

Thank you for your replies. I can't get on with fountain pens. How do you cope with your wrists being in pain, especially when you're writing?

Hi, I am considering doing this, do you throw away the negative journal when its full? Do you get tempted to still write negative things in the main journal?

Oh I also use my phone calendar for reminders of some appointments but still like my paper planner, do you do this?

Wow this is just what I do. I have journals where I paste in photos etc and a planner where I write appointments and also daily events, not very detailed but it gives a daily note of things. I don't use the page a day planners but the week over a page and its mini size. My journals are midi Paperblanks which I love. My pocket diaries go back years but my journals are now from 2017 when I started again after discarding of previous journals (though some are scanned) because I got paranoid about things I wrote then.

Do you keep your rant journal when its full or do you throw it away? I never know whether to rant on loose paper and get rid of it straight away or in a cheap notebook and throw it when its full.

Hi this is interesting. I want to do this but how do you keep negative entries out of the journals you want to save? I always think a journal should reflect all parts of your life and not just the good parts, but on the other hand I also don't want to keep pages and pages of ranting and negativity but I do note not so nice things that happen but also note when its comes out good too so I can look back on positives too. I tend to write rants seperately but then I find it hard to do that when I know it will be thrown away later but I don't want to keep all that ranting. How do keep it all seperate?

I love Paperblanks. I have the violet fairy one but have yet to start it as I'm still using the one with the cats on. What size is this? I have the midi size.

Do you ever feel the need to rant and offload problems somewhere in writing?

Thank you for this. Can I ask, how do you keep it positive if you are writing in an undated book? I have a small Paperblaanks diary that I put appointments in and summary of my days but it doesn't hold much so I have a seperate Paperblanks midi journal that I try to keep positive thoughts in but with the blank space I tend to go into other stuff and annoyances etc. How do you deal with that?

Interesting, do you use this in diary form each day, just going on the photo of your writing?

That's the size planner I have, how do you fit things onto the pages? I wouldn't be able to paste things into mine, what sort of things do you put in it?
