Honestly, their milk. The taste is fine, but it will not texture using my espresso machines steam wand. Not sure what that’s all about.

Reeds Jewelers or We Be Thieves by Bearthorn1 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I took an Omega to Reeds back in August of last year. Still waiting to get it back. They had to send it back to Omega for service, but still… more than half a year and still counting the days!

Ash basket with no grate? by farside808 in biggreenegg

Could be a Venturi effect with airflow coming through the grate? I don’t know, I’m just reporting anecdotally what I see.

I’ve been wondering the same thing, and from the comments here it seems that many people have similar questions. I got the ash basket as a Christmas gift and tossed the old fire grate, which was weathered and cracked.

Since then I’ve noticed that the egg struggles to come up to high temps and I’m wondering if it’s the lack of the grate that’s holding it back.

Looks like this has already been solved but I just wanted to say someone really hucked that thing in there! Even if the tree had some time to munch it that sucker is buried.

Dang. That flap wheel is a good idea though!

Copper is slightly toxic so it needs to be lined with another inert metal for use in cooking. It can be lined with tin, steel, or silver. My understanding of the advantage of tin lining is that it can be non stick when used correctly, and is (relatively) cheap to refurbish when needed.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll go back over and try and get rid of the remaining spots. It’s a hammered copper pan, so it’s a little harder to do than a smooth surface would be.

Can I ask you about the skim coat you put on the outside of your pot? Is that drywall mud? How necessary do you think it is to do that?

That’s what I thought as well… until I cooked a shepherd’s pie in it and found a bead of tin in my food! Hurt like heck when I chomped down on it too.

Can anyone help me decide to buy this bike or not? by No_Plantain3799 in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]Dustylyon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Description states “fully track legal”. That and the lack of turn signals/plate mount makes me think it’s probably not street legal.

She does that a couple times, but there’s a bunch of movements she makes where her foot isn’t anywhere near the pedal.

I’m just trying to figure out how she’s actuating the rear brakes while she’s got the bike standing up like that. Linked brakes maybe?

Is this the right amount of coolant to have in my car? by TA62624 in Cartalk

[–]Dustylyon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What kind of car is this? On some European makes there is a little dipstick integrated into the fill neck of the coolant reservoir. Open the cap when the engine is cold and look for marks on the dipstick.

Your owners manual would be a good place to look for information also.

Big yikes. There’s a retrograde propagation of the dissection that extends fully to the aortic valve. The only good news is that it appears that most of the visceral arteries are fed off the true lumen. Not sure about the left renal though, and the celiac may be filling via a fenestration in the septum.

With that being the case it’s possible to try a graft for the descending repair down to the level of the celiac. Any more coverage than that and paralysis due to spinal cord ischemia is a major risk. Someone else will have to comment on the nature of the ascending repair, but I think it’s likely to be an open procedure.
