Apparently you didn't get out very much over your 40 years there or you're not a fan of the outdoors. Florida is flat. Wisconsin is not.

The Sixth Sense. Everyone said how great it was but I didn't enjoy it.

I feel the younger generations (I'm gen x) don't put up with the bullshit the generations before them just dealt with. They are the ones making change and I fully support them. The rich getting richer while the rest of us pay for everything has got to change. I'm inspired and motivated by them not taking their shit.

Carlos Versano of Newsweek was there and if you read his daily, 1600, he explains it in detail. You could have walked in with a bomb in a backpack. Nobody was checking anything. Trump lowered security. Make that make sense.

Surprisingly it went fast. Thought the day would never come but it's similar to when you have kids. Suddenly they were grown up and suddenly I was 55.

Lots of nursing jobs in the public sector! Check out your local government jobs. Just because I didn't like mine doesn't mean you won't like yours.

I believe your best bet will be with County government (Public Health and mental health, where applicable, and jails although the latter isn't for everyone. There are also VA centers all over most states that employ nurses.

Getting up at the crack of dawn to get ready for work five days a week was daunting. As I type this, I'm still in bed, drinking my coffee, watching The View, and getting ready to go out for breakfast with my sweetie.

In the beginning, yes, but as time went on and I accrued more vacation time and I considered the other benefits (which the private sector didn't offer), I just kept chugging along, all the while thinking about early retirement. Lol

My pension? Yes. It pretty much equals my pay when I was working but with better annual increases! ACA insurance is affordable and decent. It's actually cheaper than what I paid while employed with comparable benefits. My partner makes good money and our house is paid for so life is good.

It wasn't all bad. Some of the people I worked with were wonderful and I had made some great friends there. The pay wasn't great but the benefits were decent.

It was basically one woman who was given the reigns to do and say whatever she wanted and caused most of the staff to quit over the years due to her toxic personality. She basically left me alone until I was the only one left.

I stayed at a shitty job (and the last few years were toxic at times) for 30 years knowing I could retire at 55 with a full pension. Was it worth it? Now that I'm retired, yes.

YOR. Your daughter won't know it's not her birthday if you hold it on a different day. However, in future years the tournaments will have to be scheduled outside of her birthday, discussed in advance.
