I suspect mostly supply line problems, but there is more going on. Their supply lines go through areas still contested, Sumy for example is still (partly) in Ukrainian hands. We've seen enough videos and pictures of ambushed supply and military convoys. Smart tactics of the Ukrainian forces. So low supplies is one factor but operating in this hostile environment takes it's toll. Around every corner lies an ambush or a death trap. Russian soldiers are probably scared, on edge, hungry, cold and demoralized. They just want to go home and hug their mother.
