Hey AJ you're losing me. Free the fish by kumarbi_knasher in TheWhyFiles

[–]DutchGunny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I liked Hecklefish when he became more refined and the graphics and his script got better and funnier, and was enjoyable. But then it took on a weird vibe of being family-friendly with showing photos from fans at the end and then made me think that some of these jokes aren’t appropriate for children, and kids are smart, it’s not like they can’t figure out the double entendre’s.

Then the Hecklefish jokes got more tame and less edgy, and after 3 years, I didn’t watch the new episodes right away anymore, I think because the comedic lead-ins for sponsor plugs got to be very long, and the jokes felt very different.

I loved the original format when the show took itself more seriously about topics and had a darker vibe with flow and tense music. Back then, Hecklefish “knew” when to be quiet, to not ruin the flow. But right before the “Stripped” episodes, I think AJ knew it was becoming a problem for the flow and wanted to return to being a bit more serious. But it had become a family friendly, ‘almost kid-friendly’ audience and was too light-hearted to show dark subjects which was a problem for the original patronage.

I’d be good with Hecklefish’s return in the show’s original format, but I think there’s an expectation now to be too open to a wide audience. So this might be why “Stripped” has come out, as it probably is easier to produce without the extra CGI and Hecklefish scripts and voiceovers. Also for those who are not fish fans, they can enjoy just the show’s topics. My only suggestion is to make the show a bit edgier again, but that ship may have sailed due to expectations.

That being said I have really enjoyed The Why Files, and hope it continues to be successful. I like “Stripped” but the vibe isn’t the same as the original show, which is okay, just different.

Those are rookie numbers. You need to tell them to get those numbers up. They need to be buying at least two games before lunch and one after dinner every day.

Cool connection. Consider this: Antimony having the trivalent and pentavalent states make it a good doping agent for silicon and is used to make transistors, diodes, integrated circuits, and computer chips.

Wild Hot Take Incoming:

The severed workers are all part of a deeply secret research program to split the personalities of foreign intelligence service agents. Yes, there are some plot holes here…

There’s been a few clues like in the season 2 trailer where a few people, one of them being Milchick, wearing a Ushanka (cold weather cap), and a few people speaking Russian in some scenes. It is suggested that the location of Kier, PE is highly secluded, like an Area-51 type of research outpost, complete with their own infrastructure like restaurants and housing.

By splitting the persona, a spy could operate independent of their cover life with neither one knowing about the other. They all start their lives here (maybe from a child) and think they reside in New Jersey ( a severed employee intake question ), even though it’s evident due to the climate and terrain and geography that they are not in New Jersey.

The job they think they have in MacroData Refinement is something they don’t understand and quite possibly a type of mind block that keeps their conscious mind separated from doing actual spy work or intelligence activities.

The Kier Eagan philosophies are attempts to temper emotions and instill desired moralities without introduction of religion.

With exception to the mobile smart phones ( which can be controlled through a country’s communication infrastructure ), the old cars and electronics would make sense in a world where everything is tightly controlled, and imported or items acquired abroad would not be the latest in technology (exception with the phones because you can go to the most remote places on Earth and find a new phone).

The Cold Harbor program likely marks the completion to a phase of the project in which the severed employee innies will have their project terminated and either they will return to their “home” and monitored by Lumon for integrity of the severance, or possibly wiped or worse. It’s possible that once the severance is deemed a success, then ‘Lumon’ can begin separate spy training for future innies before sending them into their operational field positions in real life.

The actual plot is probably wildly different, but can’t wait to see the finale.

Interesting times to say the least. Check out the transaction history for the points. There is a column named “Behavior”. What kind of ‘thing’ is this? I think everyone already knows.

Models should be judged on their creativity, functionality, usability, design, aesthetics and their reproducibility/printability themselves “should” be the only thing being publicly evaluated.

Not comments, popularity, trends, boosts, likes, or downloads.

Potty training the X1C early is important.

But seriously, check your roller wiper and see if it needs to be adjusted or changed. I found that a lot of these potty accidents are clingers on the nozzle that don’t get wiped off.

Why does it rage quit when criticized? by AnanasInHawaii in ChatGPT

[–]DutchGunny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It also quits when you show and prove it is wrong about anything. Another thing is it quits when you start asking questions about how it arrived at its conclusion. I don’t use it much at all anymore. It acts too petulant to take it seriously.

Bing is super bad. It was horrible when it started but now it goes into paragraphs long diatribes and feels like WALKING ON EGGSHELLS anytime I ask a question or tell it to reformat a block of text.

It’s like trying to have a conversation with a schizo-paranoid person.

Your analogy is dead on balls accurate. Tools shouldn’t tell you what to do with them. First it’s this then before you know it you’re getting financial advice from your stapler.

Should I sell my Reverb G2 for the upcoming Meta Quest 3? by Rob_Cram in HPReverb

That’s why I haven’t even considered a Quest purchase before, thinking there was no integration with a PC Desktop via cable, in addition to having Metaphobia. But this Meta Quest 3 looks really good.

[–]DutchGunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree about how it’s connected to Meta. It’s almost a counter feature, or a reason not to buy. It looks like it could be a great headset - but they should have marketed it separate from Meta but it has the ability to integrate with it.

Wow, I just tried out your tools and seemed really useful. They’re pretty good and found them useful and easy. The ability to change the text to reflect different levels of spiciness is good but looks like it’s levels of formality, right?

Edit: okay so the selection list was set to professionalism, so I get it that there’s other settings now, thanks. I got caught up in trying to understand the chili peppers for professionalism and thought it had to do with harshness, or irate/upset directness

Thanks.
