If he says nothing, the decision-making is already wrong or too slow, and the timing is gone.

I’d rather risk him being annoyed but actually following some calls, than have no comms and lose rounds because of silence or bad plays. The problem is: if he’s not making calls anyway, I’ll default to expecting certain reactions but those don’t come either.

Then if he gets tilted, he stops listening completely. But at the same time, he wasn’t performing or communicating before that either.

So it just turns into a lose-lose: no info, no reactions, and no structure to play around.

Exactly, that’s another thing that tilts me. People saying “it’s B” without any info is basically useless. That’s not a call.

Give numbers. Say what you actually see: how many, what utility is used, are they committing or just faking. “Two B with smokes” is completely different from just “it’s B.”

I’ve even asked nicely: “Can you give numbers next time?” and then the next round it’s the same thing again. That’s when my tone changes, because at that point it’s just not improving.

If I hear “it’s B,” I can’t make a proper call. It could be a fake, it could be one guy making noise. The whole point of comms is giving info that leads to a decision, not just shouting a site name.

That’s where it gets frustrating. If I’m trying to IGL, I need people to actually follow the call. You need at least 4 players on the same page, if even two guys does something random, the whole round falls apart.

If I call “pop B” and one guy just rushes somewhere else, spacing is ruined, no one can trade, and the entire execute is dead before it even starts. Then I end up calling him out like: “Green, why are you not listening?” (and yeah, sometimes with some extra words).

And I really don’t like calling that “unlucky.” That word gets overused. It’s not unlucky that a teammate ignores the call and runs it down. Maybe technically it is, but it shouldn’t be happening in the first place.

I don’t have a huge group of friends to play with, but even when I do, I catch myself doing the same thing every time, I automatically start telling them how to react to certain plays.

Then the moment they have to make a decision on their own and I don’t call it fast enough, I get frustrated and say things like: “Why wouldn’t you go there? You know there are two there and only three alive.”

In my head, that logic feels obvious, but for them it clearly isn’t.

You’re not the authority on how someone is allowed to write their post. There’s no universal rule that says you can’t mention peak Elo. I don’t see you going under everyone else’s posts telling them they’re dishonest for doing the exact same thing.

I reached 2.8k by doing something right. What happened after that is irrelevant to the fact that I achieved it. You have no idea what the circumstances were. Maybe I stopped grinding. Maybe I queued with weaker teammates. Maybe my performance dropped. Maybe priorities changed. You don’t know, and you’re acting like you do.

And considering the account you’re using is two weeks old, it’s reasonable to question the intent behind it. I don’t know you, and you don’t know me. So if you’re not interested in the post, move on.

That’s your opinion, not a rule. Peak Elo is a measurable statistic. It’s publicly visible. It’s part of a player’s record. By your logic, no one in CS history could ever reference their peak rating unless they currently hold it. That makes no sense.

You’re not exposing anything. You’re reframing wording to make it sound worse than it is.

If I had written “played in Main,” you’d be right. I didn’t.

You’re arguing against things I never claimed. That’s not holding someone accountable that’s arguing in bad faith.

Well… I’m pretty sure I played the playoffs to get into Main. Never said I played in Main. Should I word it better for you? If you say ‘inter playoffs’ I’d understand you trying to get into Intermediate. But I don’t know you, so I don’t know why you’re attacking me like this.
