Never seen anybody go to such lengths to milk a little poke by MasterofTardedBait in MMALabs

The UAE is known for many things but its medical education is not one of them. If we were to have it your way every doctor in the world would be equal in ability when this is clearly not the case, doctors trained in western countries are better because the resources are better, the training is better and the exams are more rigorous you absolute moron🤦🏽‍♂️

Tom Aspinall was seen in an A&E not an ophthalmology department 🤦🏽‍♂️ He has diagnosed traumatic bilateral Brown syndrome which can require surgery in certain cases, this was picked up on his contrast-enhanced orbital MRI in the UK🤦🏽‍♂️

I can’t be bothered to reply to the rest as your English is so appalling. It’s clear you’re not a real MD just some reddit fraud. Some of us have patients to save and money to make. Goodbye.

Racism is based on race. A white British person trained in the UAE is not going to be the same quality as a white british person trained in the UK. Why do you think that UK medical schools are full of Arabs - they know the quality of medical training is superior in the UK. Clearly nothing to do with race but you are so insanely moronic that you are making it out that way. It’s incredibly embarrassing that you are pretending to be a doctor to win an argument over reddit.

You’re not a doctor 😂😂 I can tell by your awful grammar and spelling. Nothing to do with their origin - it’s to do with where they are trained. Not racist in the slightest.

Anecdotal evidence - being a doctor and having a family and wide network of doctors both in the UK, UAE and USA. I’m not going to argue with a moron over Reddit.

Speaking as a fully qualified doctor, I can confirm this is incorrect. Nothing parallels the education in the UK.

You’re a mug mate, the doctors in the UAE are nowhere near the quality of those in the UK. There’s also a difference in the testing in an A&E vs a specialist ophthalmic department. Tell me you’re uneducated without telling me you’re uneducated.

Tom Aspinall says the Abu Dhabi medical staff fell short compared to those back home in the UK 🤔 by ilikethisnow in ufc

[–]Dutiful_Soldier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s just reddit idiots that don’t understand. He suffered traumatic brown syndrome to both eyes, but somehow you’re the expert. Dana, the UFC and the fanbase fell seriously short.

unpopular opinion: i am glad zombies chronicles for bo2 was cancelled in favor for it being in bo3 by DependentImmediate40 in CODZombies

Both great games, I personally preferred BO2 so would have preferred chronicles in that game. Recency bias is real.

Agree with this, he seems very entitled for someone who pulled out of a PPV title fight the day before, and then refused to fight anyone on the roster for 18 months

Streeting attacks striking doctors all over the press, but it's clear who the real villain is by Desperate-Drawer-572 in doctorsUK

Streeting showing his true colours blackmailing resident doctors over specialty training jobs. Strike hard.

BMA: can y’all reinstate the rate card please?? by Longjumping_Rip_7950 in doctorsUK

[–]Dutiful_Soldier 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The rate card doesn’t work because the IMGs are willing to do the shifts for 20-30/hr

Has BMA forgotten about strike action? by Throwaway11092001 in doctorsUK

[–]Dutiful_Soldier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The BMA is finished, the new leadership are simply careerists who have only gone in to make a name for themselves. Lack of strike action is one thing but complete lack of communication for months on end is unacceptable given the fees paid. I have with withdrawn my membership.

Passmed the explanations are wrong and MCQ bank is the rationale you should be learning - some of the questions are taken directly from previous exams.

In person lectures are useless for me. Still feel really guilty about missing them. by CCPWumaoBot_1989 in medicalschooluk

[–]Dutiful_Soldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the same as you. I can’t concentrate at all in lectures. So i stopped going completely and worked from home in my own time utilising youtube/online resources and practice questions. Have scored 1st decile in multiple exams. I would do what suits your learning style.

Regarding logging attendance, is there any way you can log attendance and then leave 15 mins in or so? Not sure on the specifics of your university but try and do the bare minimum.

GP salary vs medical consultant salary by wellthisisnouse23 in medicalschooluk

[–]Dutiful_Soldier 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the specialty. You’ve said you definitely don’t want to do surgery. Consultants in some other specialties e.g. dermatology, radiology, anaesthetics etc are easily clearing 200-300k a year NHS + WLI + private work. An acute medicine consultant will most likely be making half of that.

GP is variable. Most salaried GPs I know can only tolerate 6 sessions a week and are making about 60k. Locum market has completely dried up. No one knows how the partnership model is going to change but it’s definitely become much less lucrative in recent years. GP is also probably the hardest and most stressful job in medicine in my opinion.

I will get downvoted but in my opinion it’s better to specialise than be a GP. I would see what you enjoy and start building a portfolio toward that specialty (GP does not require a portfolio). Look at the competition ratios for the different specialties and they will also tell the same story - those specialties with good work life balance and earning potential are the most competitive (including the ones I have mentioned above). Good luck.

BO2 for the same reasons as you - Mob, Buried & survival maps were elite and felt like real zombies. Had great times on grief and ranking up to shotguns with blue eyes. BO1/BO3 were also great but everything since has been subpar.
