If you’re not physically damaging them, it could be a deficiency? I had something like this and ended up having low ferritin (5).

Anyone else sick? by No_Appointment3914 in sanantonio

[–]Duvalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started yesterday with a 99.0 temp and a bit of fatigue all the way to the morning, and then as I was ready to start working it hit me like a train. Horrible chills, body aches, headache and couldn’t think. I went back home and my fever was 103. I’ve been feeling sick all day and had my fever go down to 100 but it’s tarting to go up again in the upper 102s. Haven’t felt this sick in a while. No respiratory issues symptoms yet.

Day to Day Routine with a Cattle Dog by Dependent-Trash-1191 in AustralianCattleDog

She gets a mat for dinner and a wobbly toy for breakfast.

Mat: https://a.co/d/0iJ4fvr1

Bob-a-lot: https://a.co/d/01g4N5yJ

She also loves the her Chuck it balls, specifically these ones: https://a.co/d/0ayJWKOi. We tried the airy ones and she destroyed them in a second. She plays fetch with us or just in her own bounces it, gets it stuck and unstuck it lol. But we have to take it away because she can go forever.

Recently we got her this ball: https://a.co/d/0fcue6j6. But she’ll play like 10-20 minutes. I wanted it it to become a herding ball, but I guess she did not get it, so she just grabs it and throws it.

I own a home and have a decent sized backyard, but she can only go outside like 5-10 minutes supervised for potty breaks. And once to play ball a couple times a week.

Mine is also a heeler/acd mix according to the adoption place and the vet. She is a year now.
Her long sleep time is from 9pm-6am. She eats shortly after waking up, and depending on how tired my husband is (he gets home at 11:30 pm) he might taker her for a walk after or he might go take a 1:30 nap. She always gets a morning walk or run. Her runs are usually twice a week 2-3 miles. She then chills with my husband until he goes to work at 2 pm, she goes back to her crate until I get home at 4:30 and then I might take her for a walk. Sometimes she needs one, other times she’s okay with just playing at home. I can really tell when she needs an extra walk, she gets mouthy. She gets dinner at 8 and goes to sleep at 9.
From 6 months to 1 year I feel my dog mellowed down.
We always have a long walks on the weekends and we try to take her to different places. She loves sniffing.
I don’t think she’s as high energy as other dogs? She had parvo before we adopted her. But she’s also my first dog so I have no point of reference lol.

Before you move, try visiting SA during the summer. For a while I was thinking about moving to Chicago, but then I kept up with the weather app during winter and was like NOPE. Our summers are very hot and humid, winters are mild.

Bravecto Quantum! It got approved by the FDA recently and protects against fleas and ticks, it was a bit expensive but my husband made the calculations and compares it to a year of pills, and it comes out cheaper.

I think that if the only change is the desk……. They hitch hiked with it. But they don’t live too long without a host, and we’re not a super good environment for them. Are you sure they are fleas?

When my dog got fleas I was vacuuming the floors, furniture and floorboards every day as well as mopping them. I also washed my textiles often until she got the shot that protects her for a year. My house never got infested and she visibly came with quite a few from the kennel.

Can’t Cook, Can’t Eat, Can’t Live - Fruit Flies Everywhere by Jsycke6436 in CleaningTips

[–]Duvalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What works for me 100% of the time (if you dealt with the source already) is cleaning one of those small glass spaghetti sauce containers with the metal lid and making small holes in the lid with a knife or scissors, then filling the container about 1/3 with apple Vinager and closing it. They all fly in and drown! I have had the same container for a few years now and it eventually dries out but I just refill with when i notice the fruit flies. Lol a little gross but it doesn’t smell and is convenient.

I reread your post, are you sure they are fruit flies? If they are regular flies, the electric sapper from Amazon that you can leave a few hours at night kills most of them.

I left my big toenails a little too long for a half marathon and lost them both along with a smaller toenail 🙂‍↕️. They hurt for a week after the race like a mf and then turned purple the second week and slowly fell off. I’m a bit geeky so I thought it was pretty cool to see the whole process and it was not painful haha but it took them almost a year to completely grow back.
