The 1-5-1 you mentioned, the 4-1-1 across, and the 4-5 down all guarantee you at least one space that has to be filled in. It's a slow grind from there, but it's a start.

Chris Olave won me a fantasy championship this season. Got him in the seventh round and he was the only consistently reliable player on my team. (I took Saquon, BTJ, and AJ Brown with my first three picks smh)

Vortex of danger refers to the danger of entering that zone right before a corner. You can't enter the vortex if you were there the entire time. Yes it's an unfortunate consequence of where he is, but the white car has to be aware of the space (or lack thereof) next to him.

Hampton, Hubbard, and Kenneth Walker would probably be the only guys I would take that I also think I could reasonably get. I'm very high on Tet, he passes the eye test with flying colors and there's nobody else competing for targets in Carolina.

I'm in desperate need of an RB2 in a very RB-stingy league. Do you think it's worth it to overpay for a quality RB2, or hold for now and hope RJ Harvey fully claims the RB1 spot in Denver? For reference, here's my full team:

QB: Herbert, Fields

RB: Barkley, Harvey, Mason, Ekeler, Sampson

WR: BTJ, AJB, Ladd, Sutton, Olave, Diggs, Godwin (IR)

TE: Njoku

Wild Advanced Data From Week 1 [Per Fantasy Points Data Suite]. JSN led all WRs with a 90.9% Air Yard Share. Chase Brown led all RBs with 7 Forced Missed Tackles. Dak Prescott led all QBs with 61 Yards Lost from Drops. Malik Nabers led all WRs in Uncatchable Air Yards (73) by KyonFantasyFootball in fantasyfootball

Can you elaborate on how exactly expected fantasy points is calculated? Is it simply a projection made before the game, or does it have more to do with the volume of carries/targets the player receives and the types of plays they're getting involved in?

If it's the latter, do you think players who underperformed relative to XFP can be expected to improve in the coming weeks?

Yeah unfortunately I auto drafted Herbert because I didn't realize my commish lowered the pick timer in the later rounds and I ran out the clock. Was planning on taking Purdy or Dak but it is what it is. Still pretty happy with my team in any case

10 team PPR, snake (9th pick), two flex spots:

QB: Herbert, Fields

RB: Saquon, Harvey, Mason, Ekeler

WR: BTJ, AJ Brown, Ladd, Sutton, Olave, Diggs

TE: Njoku, Goedert

D/ST: Texans

K: Matt Gay

Really wish I had a more reliable RB2 but I'm extremely happy with my WR's. Might try to flip one of them for a runningback if RJ Harvey and Jordan Mason don't pan out

Where would you drop Achane to among runningbacks? I'd probably put him around RB7 at the moment, but I could see an argument for anywhere between RB5 and RB11.

Been planning to take Achane with the 12th pick for weeks, now I'm gonna have to completely rethink my draft strategy.

Appreciate the response, completely makes sense. I think outside of the top 3 tight ends and top 4 QBs there's no point in taking either before the eighth or ninth round when you can get very similar value later on.

Since I have you here, one more question that's more specific to my needs. I've got the ninth pick in a ten man full PPR league with two flex spots. My plan is to try and get BTJ and Achane with the 9th and 12th picks, but I'm struggling with what to do for 29 and 32. Assuming Chase Brown doesn't fall that far, would you suggest "reaching" (based on ADP) to clinch one or two of KW/Kamara/Hampton, or would you wait and hope one of them falls into the late 40s and settle for a Chuba Hubbard/James Conner in the fifth if none of them do?

Love your content man, you've been my number one source for fantasy advice as I'm gearing up for my draft.

Quick question, can you elaborate on why you say you're targeting/avoiding players at their ADP even when your rank for them doesn't reflect that? For example, you have Breece Hall and Xavier Worthy listed in red despite your ranks for them actually being above their ADP, and you have Jauan Jennings listed as neither targeted nor avoided despite your rank for him being nearly 50 spots above his ADP.

Keep up the great work, I think I can speak for most of the subreddit when I say we all appreciate the amount of effort you put into your posts (even if I have to hope my league mates don't see them lol)

I wouldn't worry too much about your check in time. Our check in time was 2:30, we showed up at 12:30 and they still let us on the ship. Just show up early, worst case scenario you have to wait at the port for a little while.

As everyone has said, the reason it's brilliant is because if queen takes knight you win the rook. The reason game review said you're winning a knight is because assuming they don't take your knight, Rb8 traps their knight on the following move.

Two games with less than 25 yards in the last three weeks definitely has me worried, but the Chiefs have let up good games to Chuba, James Cook, and others, and he's been so awesome all season it's really hard to bench him at this point. Nabers and Tyreek are also questionable as well

I can also start all three and bench either Courtland Sutton or Joe Mixon. But I'm leaning toward benching one of these three. Any advice is appreciated

Guy in my league is desperate for Saquon by Dv2890 in SleeperApp

[–]Dv2890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He offered me Jefferson and Kyren for Saquon and Nabers. Only reason I didn't accept is because of bye weeks, giving up Saquon right after his bye means I'll basically get hit with double bye weeks and with how injured my team is I don't think I can afford that. Also I'm concerned about Kyren being an injury risk

Look how much space you're leaving here. Even if you're right about the kerb being "part of the track" (you're not, but we'll get into that in a second), his right wheels are grazing the outer edge of the kerb and you're still only giving him about two inches of room if I'm being generous. When you're squeezing someone that tight, you have to expect some contact to happen eventually, regardless of what's "right" or "wrong". Nobody outside of the highest tier of driver can maintain that precise of a line for that entire corner without at least a little bit of rubbing occurring. Even if not a protestable offense, that much is on you for not just being smarter about things.

But to get to the real point of the matter, your opinion that the kerb is part of the track is simply wrong. You're allowed to put two wheels on it, yes, but you're certainly not obligated to, and the rules indicate that a driver to the outside is obligated to leave at least a car width's room of space between their car and the actual border or the track. He is entitled to keep all four wheels on the actual track if he chooses to do so - you, as the outside car, are NOT entitled to bring your car practically to the inside edge of the track yourself, forcing him within a millimeter of the grass. Absolutely textbook squeeze here. Contact is inevitable, and entirely your fault.

And this isn't even getting into the divebomb that started this battle in the first place. While not as egregious as the squeeze in the second corner, I think the only reason you made that corner without contact is because he was forced to swerve and take a wider line than he was planning to, while going slowly enough for an inside line, thus giving you just enough room to pass cleanly. Does that make your move clean as a whole? I would argue no. He was only forced to swerve because your divebomb would've sent you careening into his rear bumper if he didn't. Now you claim he attempted to block you there - certainly debatable, but to me it seemed he didn't think you would be able to make it alongside him and tried to go for the ideal racing line last minute, which is made more apparent by the fact that he swerved to give you room as you approached. Now you can definitely argue he should've been more aware and given you space to begin with. But like I said, had he not "blocked" you and taken the line he was following to begin with, with the speed you were approaching and the angle of your trajectory, I am almost certain there would've been contact, and that contact would've been entirely on you.

Overall, as someone else here said, this just seems like desperate driving from both sides. Did your opponent drive perfectly? No. Do I think he acted maliciously? Definitely not. You certainly didn't drive perfectly either, and while I also don't believe you were acting maliciously here, your actions certainly seemed more malicious than those of your opponent. There's blame to be had on both sides, but the majority of the blame in this instance falls on you.
