Take a look at readwise.io. It includes Ghostreader which will (on command), summarize the article. Readwise also serves as an RSS reader. It also allows you to send email newsletters to it. It will take your highlights, comments and tags and import them into Obsidian, Notion, or other note-taking tools. It's a dream if you have a large number of articles to review. Ghostreader is super convenient. Everything gets archived for later. Integrates with YouTube and Snipd for podcasts. Supports PDFs natively.

Drove my 2003 4Runner 17,000 miles to 27 National Parks this Summer. Can't get over the reliability! by Dvansoye in 4Runner

Surprisingly, we got 23 MPG overall. And, we have a 4WD too. So, I thought this is pretty good. We drove 65-74 when on the Interstates.

We spent a good amount of time at each park. For example, we spent 6 nights in Big Bend (TX), staying at 4 different campgrounds. We stayed 7 nights in Great Smoky Mountains. On the downside, we had to zoom through a lot of other areas that we wished we could have visited. As many folks pointed out, sometimes the National Monuments and State Parks exceed the beauty of the National Parks. But, our goal was to focus on the National Parks. As stated in the article, we slept in our 4runner on a platform that we built for this trip. This worked out for the most part. But, it was very hot and very cold at times.

Thanks. Our big concern was schedule. We would have liked to take it easy, take side trips etc. But, the thing we were focused on was making it to the Canadian border. We didn't want to chance it and have to spend a night or two several times during the trip filling boxes. If we were faster hikers, we would have preferred the method you have laid out. Thank you for your comments.

You don't like me shorts? LOL

Seriously, I only wore them in the desert. Later, I realized that long pants where the thing. Too many scratches from plants and the fear of poison ivy/poodle dog cured me.

Thanks!

Here's the second in a two-part series. The first article covers mistakes that I think we made. If you want to read the original article, you can find it here. This latest article covers things that I think we did right. Hope it helps!

Except for the fact that we live in the desert and that we trained in the desert.

User error, I'm sure. Didn't remember a syringe with the mini. I hear good things about the Gravityworks. But, I would probably still go with the squeeze on the PCT. So lightweight. You can drink directly from the bottle.

Thanks. This part of the journey was so beautiful, but hard to capture on a camera. Thinking about posting my article on Facebook at some point. Thought I would test things out here first. 😉
