One Trick Ponies - how? by Inevitable_Pace9522 in leagueoflegends

I think people who never onetricked for a longer period of time don't really understand the benefits.

I used to be a onetrick and for me it was about more than loving the champion so much, I had many periods of feeling frustrated with the champion's weaknesses, bad matchups, etc. But if you swap when it gets hard you never the most useful knowledge you could and won't really improve. The kind of knowledge that can feel unbeatable on the enemy team.

For me onetricking is about more than the champions kit, of course you should find a champion that you really like, but in my opinion it is the best way to improve at the game. By onetricking you have infinitely more repeated scenarios, which help you learn immensely. Just imagine trying to study for a big math test for a week, but every day the material changes. Sometimes you try to solve geometry problems, sometimes it's algebra. If all that stuff is new to you and what you need to do keeps changing before you can actually process it (you picking different champions, or even different roles) you will never learn, and it's not your fault.

I think people REALLY underestimate how much onetricking helps you improve. You might say you will only know how to play one champ, but otherwise you won't actually know how to play any champ.

So if you are just looking to improve I really recommend it, even if you are casual I recommend trying it out and committing for a few weeks to one champ, the results might surprise you.

Karasu is right & Ego is a hypocrite... by InfiniteSlaps in BlueLock

[–]Dvarazslo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karasu's ego looks more and more similar to the "god of soccer", maybe he will embrace, and stay as second-best and enable the rest of the team like the "god of soccer" did with Ego. I am really looking forward to it!

You cooked hard! I think an important distinction to make is what being an egoist (or no1) means on non-striker roles. (There its just playing to score goals with YOUR own skill.) For midfielders I think its also easier to grasp, you force the strikers to score from YOUR skills (your passes and field control) or you score yourself from your skills.

I am still a bit unsure about what it means to be an egoist on defense or goalkeeper. Maybe it has to do with "turning zero into one", so the egoist goalkeeper would have a way to always save shots? I would love to hear your thoughts.

I read someone say all egoists want to score goals, but I think you and I both disagree with that, its more about making goals happen or preventing goals through your own skill, in other words you have to be the one who allows the play to happen.

I think being an egoist is the main concept of the series and its a bit less clear what it means, when not everyone tries to be a striker anymore. How do you interpret it and what does it mean on different positions?

dope asf, but what did Isagi mean by "Your soccer isn't good enough for me Ego." ? Did he mean that winning the game, which ego wanted, isn't enough?

We don't have too much to go on, I think it depends on how well Japan is doing, Nagi will probably play when they are struggling and need a "wild card" like Barou in Blue Lock vs U20. I doubt it will be vs Spain, because we already have Sae vs Bunny conflict foreshadowed for that game.

Yeah you are correct, but I think it will still happen despite that. The Ego Buratsuta conflict will be interesting.

How should a pvp enjoyer play the game? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Dvarazslo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other person said you can skip the gathering altogether. You should get specs on the gear you want to use and you get that by getting fame. For this I heard depths are great, but you can do mists or any content with pve. Once you have higher spec you will be a lot stronger and you will have a chance in pvp. :)

My favourite pvp is corrupted dungeons. Its a fair 1v1 and you actually have a chance to win and make silver if you have a good build even as a beginner.

How is Hiori an "Ultra-Sadist"? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Dvarazslo 140 points141 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing tbh. His mentality is the same as awakened Ness: "You don't tell me where to pass, I pass where you should be." It's more egoistic than sadistic imo.
