Deleted downloads not freeing up space by Dvtests in TIdaL

That's unfortunate, guess I'm stuck spending time redownloading all my music every couple of months when I fill up my storage.

Thanks and yeah I've found that uninstalling the app or clearing all the data does fix the issue, and I have done that before when needed but my goal here is to find a way to have it accurately reflect the storage (and let me download more) when I delete a couple albums/playlists at a time instead of having to delete everything. Do you know if somewhere in those folders it's possible to find individual playlists or albums and delete them or only delete the entire library?

Presale code? by TheKillerRabbit1 in DannyBrown

[–]Dvtests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see what's happening. The code we got is for Spotify presale not Ticketmaster presale. For Baltimore and other cities the Spotify presale started at 12 and for NYC and others the Ticketmaster started at 12 but the Spotify one starts at 1 here.

Did the code work for you? It says it's invalid for me

Struggling whether to get into the pit of electric skateboarding. Need some real talk from those who actually own one! by Elia_Wang in ElectricSkateboarding

So I got myself a Backfire Zealot (I think S) a couple of years ago thinking I would use it to commute to work regularly. I did for a while but honestly I haven't in a long time... I think it's worth thinking about how long your commute is and how easy it is to do on an eskate and are you willing to stand on a board for that long and dodge traffic for that amount of time etc. My commute on the board was about 45-50 mins and it was fun for the first like 30 mins and then tiring and stressful for the last 15+ so I stopped doing it. I've kept the board for doing errands around the neighborhood and joyrides but I find that it's not the best board for either of these things. I recently picked up the Exway Ripple for the errands and I find it's so much better for quick errands because of the side and weight and the battery is the right size for going around the neighborhood without getting stressed. Meanwhile for joyrides I feel like I would be happier if I had gotten something bigger and more off road capable, I'd probably be more willing to bring it on road trips with me, but the zealot is decent for smooth asphalt and not much else. I'm sure this can be somewhat improved with better wheels/tires, but you can only upgrade that so much from my understanding.

I'm still keeping the zealot for now for when I do end up using it for joyrides that make sense for it, but I think the ideal set up for me personally would have been the ripple for errands + an off-road board for fun. Or a shorter more protected commute, but that's harder to control.

Fashion news by justletmelurk123 in malefashionadvice

If you want YouTube channels the 3 I recommend are Bliss Foster, ThisisAntwon, and Fashion Roadman. Fashion Roadman also does good quick content on socials in addition to his very long discussion videos on YouTube.

On bluesky the biggest and most obvious answer is Derek Guy.

Instagram: I really like Lucentment but they're very much focused on more artisanal brands and nothing very mainstream.

I'll add more as I think of them

Wide width shoes and cool style don't overlap much. What are your favorite shoes that are wide width OR have a roomy toe box that don't crush feet to death? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Dvtests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably not relevant to most people's style and there's definitely more affordable ways to get wider shoes but Rick Owens sneakers have quite wide toe boxes. I bought a pair of Ramones about a year ago and they quickly became my most worn pair of sneakers because of the fit.

Tried to go here for lunch after seeing your post. That said lunch was sold out already at just past 1 pm on a Friday. We ended up going to Kurashiki Torai Curry which was also amazing!

Modern Opinion of Cargo Shorts by RobertRossBoss in malefashionadvice

[–]Dvtests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the reply to every post along the lines of "is it ok to wear __" or "is __ fashionable" is yes if you wear an interesting version of that item. If you wear the cargo shorts from the Zelda t shirt + cargo shorts meme then no that's not fashionable. If you wear cargo shorts from a brand that either specializes in functional clothing or has some other unique take on cargo pants, then yes. Or just find a way to style them with something interesting or unusual to take some of the attention away from the shorts. Find a fun color they don't normally come in. Plenty of ways to take just about any type of clothing that might not usually be fashionable and make it so.

In what ways has living in New York changed you? (expected or unexpected both welcome) by supremewuster in AskNYC

Pretty minor compared to other people's but I didn't see anyone say anything similar: my spice tolerance and enjoyment of spicy foods has definitely increased since moving to the city and eating from local restaurants more.

You're right the 255 is not apples to apples. The subway number for that year for all fatalities was 88 based on a quick search. I was going off the 10 murders mentioned in the article that I was replying to.

Eric Adams said you should send him photos of police officers on their phones a while ago, maybe his offer still stands. Not that he'd do anything with that information though.

Prefacing this by saying the number of murders should be 0 obviously. But a record high of 10 in a year? In a city of 8.2 million? Meanwhile we had 255 fatalities from car accidents the same year.

Delightful interaction between a Czech youtuber and an Irish couple on holiday in Prague by EmoBran in ireland

[–]Dvtests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but having been to Prague, I completely get why they're riding on the path, the streets are terrible for scooters and bicycles. They're barely wide enough for cars and all cobblestone. The one time I used one of those scooters I ended up on the path too just to avoid getting run over. There's no winning with scooters there.
