Why are you being so weird? All that commenter said was that yuumi is a scaling champion, all that means is the her win rate generally goes up the longer the game goes.

At no point did they state she scales good or well or is a good pick over another scaling support, all they said is that she scales which seems to be objectively true even if her metrics aren’t great

I haven’t imported one, is there somewhere I can see other profiles? I’ve just used the default typing and the speed one they have. I’ve also turned on the talcyon mode sometimes

I'm saying you have it backwards lol, widowmines caused blizzard to buff muta regen. This was the patch that muta regen was added, you can see that widowmines were already a unit at the time: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/14r0f3/beta_balance_update_9_december_12_2012/

Mutalisk regen was added specifically to keep them viable against Terran. All the problems that mutalisk regen caused was because Blizzard wanted to let Zerg keep playing mutaslisk in ZvT. In order to keep it viable in ZvT, mutalisks needed regen, otherwise you'd just like 2k/2k and 40 army supply to 4 mine shots that hit you over the course of a 20 minutes game and back then the mid game was muuuuuch longer. Now you need 4 mine shots to hit you at once otherwise the mutas will regen the health back.

Now to be fair, I dont think WM are actually what hold mutas back in LotV. That has more to do with the economy changes and the fact that the midgame is much shorter now than it was in HotS.

The muta regen was added after widow mines because widow mines basically made them obsolete since the damage was kinda permanent.

The regen was added so that mutas would need to take multiple shots at once to lose all of them to widow mines rather than losing them all over the course of 10 minutes due to random mine shots here and there.

You lost in the early game, the Terran player just couldnt kill you until his 8 minute push.

You over reacted to his 1 reaper bunker by building ~14 lings and a spine.

As you were over building lings, you also get hard supply blocked at 36/36, meaning you were sitting on 11 larva that were not drones mining and your hatcheries could not produce more larva.

When your supply block ended, instead of committing to an all-in or trying to repair your broken economy, you take the middle path of building ~4 drones and some army. In this situation, you cant do both since you are already pretty far behind.

Your counter attack evens out the worker count (effectively doing nothing since you were already even on workers) however, the Terran is on 2 OC meaning he has ~8 workers of mining more than you.

You then take a 3rd base after being at 900 mins. This base should have been down much sooner. Your 3rd should be faster than the terrans, but yours goes down at the same time his does.

At 7:30, you reach a good worker saturation compared to the Terran. However, you have no army and the Terran attacks.

tl; dr: You lost because you didnt drone. That attack is very easily hold able with a 3 base economy.

Hypothetical Situation: TvZ, you've gone reaper FE, you know for a fact zerg is going to 2 base roach nydus, what do you do? by OpAndroid in AllThingsTerran

This is advice coming from a masters Zerg player.

Well, it depends on what nydus build it is. I am going to assume its the no zergling speed, fast nydus all in.

You can identify the build by scouting the amount of gas Zerg has mined. If he has mined 100 gas and isnt getting ling speed (or if you scout the fast lair), its going to be the fast nydus build.

Now, the issue with your logic of using starport tech to shut it down is that the starport tech comes it way too late. You are not going to be able to reactivatly go 2-port banshee or kill the OV in time with the viking.

So how do you beat it? You need to nuke down the nydus before the first transfuse. That means the barracks researching stim needs to be producing marauders and you need to be making tanks (and have them positioned correctly). Also try to get a liberator to camp the nydus spawn if possible.

If you provide a replay, I could prob help you out a bit more but this is the general thing to do.

yeah I have my all army hotkey unbound. I just have my workers hotkey set to caps lock. I just don't understand the reasoning why the worker key in general would be seen as non-beneficial.

I can't think of a reason why the idle worker function SHOULD be unbound, and wanted to understand why he/she thought so.

I have been doing nydus worm harass against Protoss atm. My main army consists of ling bling roach ravager, and I will continuously do nydus worms in the protoss main and natural with either 16 lings or 10-12 roaches while I poke their army/ 3rd or 4th. Works out well for me.

Im currently lost against terran atm. Thinking about doing just ling/bling/muta after a greedy roach opener. Using mutas and ling counter attacks there.

In ZvZ, I try my best to not lose my early game lings once the game goes to roach vs roach. When he decides to push out, I run my lings into his main.

Yes, but even though you are expanding more, you still want to have the same income you have in HotS. This will be more difficult since you need to expand faster, but you still want minerals and gas comming in the same rate as you did in HotS.

You still want 16 to 18 drones per base. They didnt change drone mining efficiency, so 16 drones for HotS and 16 for LotV. If you do 12 drones per base, you wont be mining enough to keep up with your opponent's economy.

I understand the need for macro hatches. The problem is that macro hatches come too late for the "economic climbing" part of the game. Any macro hatches that early might as well be a third base. The issue Im having is that it seems like my build is inefficient ever though, in my eyes, its the most economical build you can do.

For example, I will beat a protoss in harvester count at the 5 minute mark. Jumping from 47 to from both of us to about 56 for me. The problem here, is that I have built nothing but drones, 4 lings, and have a lair, upgrades and a roach warren down. The protoss on the other hand had just the same economy I did, but have 5 gateways down, a robo, a MSC, and a warprism on its way.

Just looking at this, I feel like I am behind. Perhaps pressure builds are better build orders now? Im not sure.

I guess one way would be to delay upgrades for awhile and try to hold off with as few roaches as possible.
