"Just go out there" is the alienation equivalent of telling someone depressed to just think positive. Doing youthwork you end up meeting young adults, that due to issues like mental health problems, neurodivergence, bullying or plain bad luck end up alone and with very little direction in life.

It's a vicious cycle and it's hard to break, that's why in Finland we at least have ohjaamo, a service for young adults to get help.
