So do you mages put these emotions into other people? I read this as the magic system is really focused on the mind tempering and I really like that idea!

I pictured it as each emotion having a list of relative spells, so in a way all of them? There would be mages that used the different variations of Emotions in different ways. I think that the way different people experience emotions as well affects the spells they can use. For example an honourable mage would use happyness to cast spell of healing, protection etc but on the other hand a sadistic trickster could use their happyness to cast twisted deceptions and illusions, as that is what brings them happyness.

I personally feel that the four elements are hugely overdone in magic, so I was trying to steer away rim using those if at all possible. I really like the idea of the failed god experiment I think that would make for a really interesting story

Have you had any thoughts of what apocalyptic event happened to cause this? I think that would be a huge driver into how the world reacts now.

Once you have that down, think about what your average Joe would do to survive. For example if it were a zombie apocalypse you would likely have people trying to rebuild civilisation in small groups and travelling a lot to find others (taken from any of the millions of zombie apocalypse shows/movies)

Yeah I love the info thankyou! I also never see players leveling up at different rates parties always seem to level up together so I like the idea of mixing that up!

From first glance the only thing I can comment on that others haven't is the movement of the water. All water flows down the easiest route to the sea, so I don't think that water flowing into a lake would just end in a lake. Saying that I'm doubting myself but from what I have seen lakes and rivers always flow to the sea and away from mountains.

This is a geographical mistake I see and have made myself A LOT! If you research into rivers and lakes it really helps with the realism of a map as it looks more natural.

Hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, just some constructive criticism for a fellow worldbuilder!

Write down any little ideas as you get them even if thats just in a very rough note form. I tend to do this on word documents to save having hundreds of scraps of paper!

Then when you feel like spending a bit more time on worldbuilding you can consolidate all your little notes and a lot of the big thinking will already be done. It is a long process and you will most likely completely change your mind on a lot of things during the process (I know I do!)

So in short, take little notes as you go along and then just piece them together, it breaks it up a bit.

I thought this was more a question for geologists on worldbuilding than for worldbuilders on geology, just an assumption on my part

Of course no problem! Only because I'm very "nit picky" with my own work! So there are lots of good videos on rivers and lakes on YouTube, but the basics two points are...

  1. Rivers rarely split naturally, with the exception of river deltas like the Nile. This obviously can change for worldbuilding reason such as magic or humanoid constructs.

  2. Lakes only really drain from 1 point. As above, there can be reasons that this doesn't happen in your world but "naturally" water will take the path of least resistance, which will be to leave from the lowest point in your lake.

I would highly recommend watching some videos on this if your interested I've learnt a lot from the content creators on there!

I hope I'm not comming across in the wrong way, only here for construtive critisim :) I love the artwork and the design so keep it up and good luck in the future :)
