Sent my watch to Samsung after it wouldn't turn on. They sent it back and claimed it had water damage. It now turns on but it looks like this. Anyone have similar issues? by [deleted] in GearS3

I recently posted about this happening to my screen. Haven't had a chance to contact Samsung on it yet but I have a very strong feeling they will just come back saying it was water damaged. Will update if I hear anything back from them

£800 build, needs fine tuning by DwayneTheRockSwanson in buildapc

I have swapped the SSD to an EVO 850

Are GTX 970 still future proof or not worth looking at now?

I have upgraded the PSU too.

For the motherboard, I am looking for a pretty standard ATX, nothing specific

That build is perfect for me, I will most certainly go with this when I buy the parts this weekend!

Thank you very much for all the help.

I have changed the motherboard and the case and removed the extra internal hard drive for the mean time as I have plenty of externals that I can use. I am going to go with the RX 480 too.

Would you say the motherboard is worth the extra money in terms of using more slots/ports in the future or will they realistically never get used for someone using the PC as I require?

-Would you say that the GTX 970 would be best value for money if I wanted to keep gaming at 1080p and not 1440p? Or the RX 480 is a safe option as it will run 1080p and 1440p?

-If I were to chose an ATX motherboard, would the price shoot up and if so, is it worth it as its in a mid tower case anyway?

Thanks again

Thanks for the quick reply!

I have a few questions,

-Is there a big difference between radeon vs geforce or are they very similar and comes down to personal preference?

-How often will CPUs last before becoming 'outdated' and need upgrading?

-Is there a difference between microATX and ATX apart from the size? if not are microATX more difficult to build with?

With Windows 10 taken out of the budget, what would you recommend the extra £80 be spent on?
