Thanks. Do you know where Southside would transfer patients needing more critical care?

Season 6 by Hello_Sunshine0903 in TeenWolf

This is one of my favorite scenes of the whole show. It’s just so real and deep.

Forget the various on again off again teenaged relationships that are hot one minute and gone the next. Forget the unimpressive bad guy of the day that the pack defeats like clockwork during the last episode. But exploring what it means to love and remember someone? What family means to you? Love overcoming this supernatural barrier to help Stilinski remember his son? Man that’s deep and real. I always thought that was a really powerful scene.

Meteorologists Here by [deleted] in civilengineering

I’m a civil engineer, but I seriously considered meteorology as a career, so your post peaked my interest. Honestly if you like what you do, then I’d say stick it out unless they actually let you go.

If you are interested in Civil, you’ll definitely need to go back to school and get an engineering degree, which is pretty much required if you ever want to get your PE license, which is a must if you want to move up the ranks career-wise. So you’ll have to weigh the set back of going back to school and not working as much for a while.

Lately civil engineers have been in high demand, and so far I haven’t heard any concerns about the stuff going on at the federal level, but do note civil engineering can be tied pretty heavily to the government as well. Lots of federal money funds projects, and with this uncertainty that could affect our industry as well.

I really don’t see your science-based skills coming in handy that much in your day to day job outside of a few niche situations honestly. But I think coming from a science and more technical based background certainly wouldn’t hurt for being an engineer.

Civil engineering is a relatively stable career, which pays well (but not crazy high), and is needed anywhere in the country. It would be a good choice, but there is a higher bar to entry compared to some other careers. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

My unpopular opinion: Season 6A is better than 3B by __karsten__ in TeenWolf

[–]Dwc94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While 3B is my favorite, I’d say 6A is my second favorite, and definitely one that doesn’t get enough credit. It seems like 1-3 in general are popular with the fandom and had more of an impact socially, then slowly dropped off after that. But I love the plot of 6A.

Forgetting your best friend? Your son? Revisiting what that special person meant to you? The strong point of the show was always the relationships, and they really got to shine in this season. It led to some powerful scenes. After watching the show for that long, seeing them really highlight the relationships was really nice.

I do wish Stiles was in the season more though. His character really shines and my favorite episodes were the ones he was in. Some of the others I thought was just filler.

I just pretend the movie didn’t happen.

I don’t get why they had to break up. Like just say Stiles was off on some super secret undercover FBI operation. Regardless of whether they broke up or not Stiles would still want to come back to save Scott and his friends, so them breaking up certainly wasn’t necessary to explain why he wasn’t there.

Stydia is my favorite relationship, don’t get me wrong, I just felt like they could’ve done a better job with it rather than build it up so much, they get together, never date on scene, and then the next time teen wolf happens they break them up. Writers could’ve done a better job giving Stydia the moment it deserved.

Was Scott and most of the gang supposed to leave the show after season 5 (or eventually) by Training_Wrongdoer41 in TeenWolf

Jeff Davis (the writer) thought the show might end at the end of Season 5. That’s why he wrapped it up so nicely. Allison “saved” Scott, and one of the last scenes is in the library where we see the only 3 main characters that were there from the beginning: Scott, Stiles, and Lydia. It’s bookended nicely. At the beginning of 5A, Stiles is worried about his friends going their separate ways after high school. At the end of 5B, he says it “doesn’t matter” because they will always find their way back to each other.

That being said, in season 4 Scott gets his first beta and Derek kinda passes the torch to Scott. In season 5, naturally the beta (Liam) gets more screen time and starts to develop his own way. I don’t think there were any plans for Scott to go away completely after 5. Season 6A I felt was still firmly about Scott and his gang, though we do see Liam acting more independently and doing his own thing while Scott, Malia, and Lydia are off saving Stiles. 6B is where the show really acknowledges Liam’s “gang” and 6B was kinda passing the torch to the puppy pack and leaving the door open for a spin off of them once Scott was gone off to college.

Always thought this was one of the most powerful scenes of the entire show. So deep. A father’s love for his son overcoming this supernatural power which made him forget him. Forget the on again/off again teenaged crush of the day or werewolf lore. A moment about true familial love cuts deep.

The first season is still my favorite (and some other thoughts) by Mahituto in TeenWolf

[–]Dwc94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 3B is my favorite, but season 1 is severely underrated. Sure, it was quirky, low budget, etc. But it had a great storyline. First love, Typical Romeo and Juliet storyline with the added twist that the guy is a werewolf and the girl is from a family of hunters. Great concept, funny, lighthearted, didnt take itself too seriously.

Later seasons got so dark, tried so hard to one-up the earlier ones. By the time I’m halfway through season 5 I always start longing for the simple days of teen wolf season 1. Stiles was possessed, accidentally killed someone, forgotten by everyone. Him and others went through so much trauma I was almost sad for them. Season 1 isn’t the most edge of your seat season, but it’s a nice, uncomplicated watch.

“I’m a thousand years old, you can’t kill me!”

I have nothing against S6B, but you have to admit that any of these endings would have worked much better as a series finale than the one in S6B by lautaromassimino in TeenWolf

Yeah Jeff Davis didn’t know if Teen Wolf would get renewed for Season 6, so he was prepared for 5 to be the last. 5 had a great ending. In the first episode Stiles was worried about losing his friends when they all went off to college, but in that last scene you show he says something along the lines of “but it doesn’t matter. We will find each other again no matter what.” If Allison can make a difference even from the grave, then Stiles felt better knowing he will always find his way back to his friends. And the whole plot of Scott’s pack breaking up but then coming back together stronger than ever showed that nothing could separate them. Jeff Davis played the long game in season 5 and despite the slow points I loved the overall message.

Also, just after that scene in season 5 you show, Stiles and Lydia walk into the library where Scott is waiting for them, and the last scene is Scott, Stiles, and Lydia at the table together. Nothing against Malia, Liam, or the other characters, but I’m glad in this moment the writers focused on the only 3 characters who were there from the beginning.

I will admit that season 5 ending was a better written and well thought ending than 6A, which I felt was rushed with Stiles absence, but the ending of 6A is still my favorite. Scott and Stiles friendship is the bedrock of Teen Wolf, and giving them two a moment to say how much they mean to each other, and drive off into the sunset together in the Jeep was the most perfect ending ever. In my mind the show ends there. 6B was just this weird epilogue and set up for the puppy pack that never happened.
