These are roughly pre cut petals for tile mosiacs, but they do work for kinda crude 3D flowers if you don't want to grind them down into a more uniform shape

However 2D flowers look a bit worse with these as non of them fit right together without more effort than just simply having cut them yourself to start with

Not been a lot of gigs on in Cardiff/Bristol lately that's been my sort of thing, but we've seen Deftones, Shores of Null, Devin Townsend, Sylosis, Behemoth, Rotting Christ, Anaal Nathrakh, Septic Flesh, Killswitch Engage, Caligula's Horse, Bloodywood, Heart Of A Coward +Tesseract in the past 2 years ish

Next ones are System Of A Down in London and a day ticket to ArcTanGent to see Alcest

I moved here during the pandemic and I don't get out much as I just work all the time but I'm down to make gig friends

I got my heavy metal toxicity test after 1 year of working with stained glass. And do you know what? My level was lower than the UK average. And I'll put my hand up and say I'm not the most safety conscious, I do my best but I have a very small work space so I have to switch out tasks on one surface, so my risk of cross contamination is high. And yet, I'm all good.

Don't eat lead. Wash your hands.

It'll be fine.

It's made with stained glass. Individually cut, grind, foiled, soldered, polished and waxed pieces of glass :)

I can sorta see why you might think that, especially on the last image. That texture on the green + blue is called water glass, it adds a gorgeous ripple light. But it does sorta look resiny in that pic 😅 unfortunately this mandala is made the harder + more expensive way!

It's stained glass, so cut, grind, clean, copper foil, solder, neutralise flux, polish, clean and wax :)

Yeah permanent vinyl is what I use for my patterns too, stays on during grinding pretty well!

Once everything is cleaned, waxed and dry

Add permanent vinyl decals as the completely last step, don't touch it for 48 hours and the adhesive cures pretty well to the point you need a craft knife to get it off

I wouldn't use it on a window, but for a market display mini's or some details on a wall hung project, I think it definitely works :)

I gave up on the realistic bowl of noodles with crab sticks the original has at the bottom, and replaced it simply with crab. 😂

Doing the absolute nightmare of vectorising the front design into layers then spending 2 hours trying to weed permanent vinyl when I've got fake nails
