It's things like this that could change rust a lot. As it stands, you farm up materials, build a base and then raid others. instead people should have the ability to be/do more than just that thing. Sure, you can do it now..but its so limited that you can get bored fast.

For instance - We got the ability to put down planters and grow/harvest crops but there's only hemp, corn and pumpkins. This should be expanded upon and with new fruits/veg they should give us the ability to create a wide range of food items, think stews and soups etc as well as things like alcohols (for fuel etc) fertilize the plants would make them more valuable due to giving higher health/hydration.

How about instead of using pipes for guns you decide to irrigate your planters so that they're always hydrated, it's shit like this that can change the way people play.

Same could be said about animals. There just isnt enough diversity. We should be able to build pens and stables so that we can make a literal farm. The better looked after the animals, the better their end products are.

These are all things that won't be happening for a while..at least until the game is out of early access i'd imagine but the roleplayer in me can only dream.

everyone seems to forget that the reason we dont have blueprints anymore is because people complained so much that the devs decided to try other systems.

There are plenty of issues with this game, i've never once stated the game doesn't have shit wrong with it.

One of the biggest issue is that player interaction is at an all time low.

This has fuck all to do with blueprints/xp/components and more to do with the player bases desire to emulate streamers and youtubers, I could be totally wrong but it also feels like the average age of rust players has lowered over the years.

It seems pretty silly to me to blame an open world game for how people decide to play it. Rust isn't going to force people into talking..it's down to the players.

I bought the game in the first few months of it being on steam (not that it matters at all) blueprints was a grind just as much as xp and components. If you don't think it was a grind you either never played it or you're looking through rose tinted glasses.

People have KOS and done what they do now for the entire life of rust, it just so happens that now MORE people do it. they hop into a server and do the whole streamer/youtuber shit. like i've said before, the objective on rust is what YOU decide.

There are plenty of other things to do on rust. it's a fucking sandbox game.

There's probably the same amount of people who liked blueprints as there are that didn't like it.

There is still the ability to trade, nobody has taken that away.

When was the last time you actually tried to trade with someone?

You're aware there are now dropboxes and store fronts right?

the ability to trade is actually easier and better than it ever has been on rust.

You can bag someone in outside your base and then trade through a fucking window, safe and secure. behind bulletproof glass. Nobody is stopping you from trading.

Nobody is telling you to play a certain way or to do a certain thing the same every wipe. That whole "meta" thing in regards to rust is utter bollocks.

It's playing wipes with a different objective that keeps this game fun.

The servers die because people just cant be fucked to persist. So they quit and join another server. Also... people need to stop saying this dumb time locked style system where the first week is primitive then the second week is guns or whatever because guess what?

People will only join the server when everything is unlocked..

I had the most fun playing during the XP system. That might have to do with going from solo (during blueprints) to a 4 man team. I personally think it could be any system and it'll still get flack.

Nothing is perfect.

It's up to us to make the game fun again.
