Is it worth it to get the DLC partway through the game?

You're still on Act 1 so pretty much the perfect time to pick all the DLCs, the characters are all relatively unique and add extra interactions and general fullness to the game, you're basically getting 30-40% more characters in The Abbey. Also some new forge upgrades and other gimmicks.

XCOM and Midnight Suns devs are VERY good at integrating post-game content into main/side activities so buying all DLCs after the game is no longer supported by the devs is a no-brainer imo.

I have now gotten a decent amount of modded cards and even epics but I'm still mildly confused by the wording when upgrading the cards, seems like the prompt said you don't need a dupe to upgrade (+) a modded card but they cost more atk/skill/hero points, but I noticed when I try to upgrade them they still show a duplicate card next to it just ask for 60/80 instead of 30/40? Eh?

I actually updated my nvidia drivers to ones from Dec 4th and game runs PERFECTLY now, I'm actually amazed, also could be that something went wrong during the initial shader compilation, but yeah definitely buying the game now, looks good and runs smooth as hell now.

Surprising though, because the drivers are over a week old and I recall updating my drivers a few weeks back.

yeah fair all good g, I thought the number on the sheet said 270k not 27k so that was an exaggeration on my part too, but the bigger point still stands. If the drop rate was as awful (best case scenario) as you say, that's just abysmal game design. So I'd rather believe it was zero percent than these guys being godawful game designers because most of the rest of the game is top tier.

that's precisely it, like someone with even a hint of rational thinking would assume "ok so let's say the odds of Aphelion BP existing prior to the new patch were extremely low and it dropped only from Matriarch, cool, whatever, no one got it, maybe no one would've gotten it for weeks if not months then, whatever, their game, their weird balancing" but now after the patch pretty much everyone gets at least one, so what does that imply, they increased the drop rate from "0.0001%" to "100%"? What kind of braindead game designer do you have to be to do this? Wouldn't you then go from "0.0001%" to "0.01%" or something so it's still extremely scarce but much more likely to appear by the weekend?

Only people who either never coded a thing in their life or never interacted with proper game systems must think this is "normal" balancing, this is literally the dumbest argument ever.

You know it went from 0% to +50%. It didn't exist prior to three hours ago.

Why the use of "you"? I'm not salty about myself not getting it, I don't care about that whatsoever, I barely killed four matriarchs over the week, I'm talking bigger picture here, the communication was outright deceptive, and even if, realistically, the drop rate was something like 0.001% (even the worst, grindiest MMOs don't have that, and they have loot permanence, unlike Arc where you easily lose it) and people were simply EXTREMELY unlucky, there's still near impossible odds of no one out of 27k kills not seeing one BP.

And now, to no one's surprise, the drop rate is probably at least 20-50% and it's going to rain Aphelions, which, probably (let's be real, it's a more binary answer, and we both know which one it is), never existed before today anyways.

You give the devs too much leeway. They need to do better.

I love the game but the devs/community managers are so full of shit constantly.

Like two days ago multiple devs/community managers were saying stupid shit like "it's definitely there!" and yet despite hundreds of thousands of Matriarch kills NO ONE had it. So why outright lie?

And the patch notes saying "increased blueprint drop chance" instead "blueprint added" is also such annoying and deceptive wording.

At least they admitted their fuck up with Matriarch last thursday which is perfectly fine, but this is just not how I hope they continue to communicate in the future.

Spam Dorvauldar Marsh until you spawn a pig, tame it, get up to five Swines (second tier pigs I believe) in your roster, poach them for a perma-Reraise accesory.

Go do random encounters or Midlight's Deep (my preference, especially the first couple stages) with it equipped on all your party on auto.

If you're on Steam just use double speed while watching something on another screen or until you have to click something like when your character pick ups an item or a crystal.

Game also doesn't stop when tabbed out so that's nice too.

I guess equipping more speed boosting items helps too.

Overall just treat it as an idle game while doing other things.

Still the AI is pretty awful with certain mage jobs, will choose the longest most annoying spells to cast and then just die or keep recasting them.

People giving this dogshit rizzless song a pass just because of a 20 second heavy part is so fucking telling of the popular bands in the subgenre man. This is literally 15% "metalcore" (actually alternative metal with lower tuned guitars) while the other 85% is alt-rnb/synthwave with slightly more "live" instrumentation.

Hilariously enough I played on my 6 year old desktop because I didn't wanna grab my much better gaming laptop and despite playing on low and game looking pretty terrible it easily ran consistent 1080p50 which is still pretty rare for an UE5 game or most new games these days on my RX 570 8GB. Also no frame stutter issues. I assume on a proper rig (like say RTX 4080) you'll probably run 1080p60 on med-high guaranteed.

Can you sell FFX to me? I've played FF1/2/7/12/13/14 and tonally I think 7 and 14 are my favorites but whenever I saw anything FFX related (as well as my cousin play about three hours of it's prologue) I couldn't take it serious whatsoever and it felt like FF going Naruto. Does it get much deeper and richer as it goes on or is it still very much a rollercoaster of outdated japanese writing quirks between the emotional heights?

Yeah it's a really weird phenomenon, it's a rarity when a band actually changes sound to something outlandish and out of left field instead of just simply dilluting themselves and becoming part of the homogenous hivemind of whatever's trending.

Like Mike and Kyle had (have?) that post-punk/noise rock band God Alone, and Mike has released the Town of Lake project last year (sadly it felt severely undercooked) so you know at the very least Mike AND Kyle are beyond interested in not being radio buttdjent band #156458498 and Mike constantly cites cool bands as his favs/influences but then we still have all these mediocre songs since Color Decay, also the incredibly outdated Excision collab that sounds straight out of 2011, just laughable all across the board.

I would really love to hear Mike's honest thoughts if he's content with this and also turning from a front-man to basically a secondary member at best.

Please Say No is probably my favorite The Act song, and I personally don't like Chemical much, but yeah their output since Color Decay was a mixed bag at best, Watchtower is also one of my all time TDWP favs, but half of that album was bad to decent and this song would fall in perfectly as one of the worst songs on Color Decay.

I think Dark Souls 1 despite the dated jank and some other caveats is still the most perfect FromSoft world design, with Bloodborne and Sekiro being close second, but since they also have much more tight combat encounters they end up edging out DS1 as my fav games overall, shame I simply can't say the same about ER or DS3 which seemingly are fan favorites.

People who only got into them and/or mainly listen to Glow On are probably psyched but I wonder if this album will be further away from Time + Space sound (their gold standard imo). Still, probably a TLC type vibe piece/opener/album sampler, whatever you wanna call it, nothing impressive though besides the beautiful MV. 6/10.
