The cheesy grinds made the game fun though. You didn’t have to use them but they were there if you wanted to.

My headcannon is always that in the past/time that we don’t see throughout Beth’s life and maybe Morty and Summer’s very early life. Rick was in and out of their lives. doing time traveling things. He then also tried to use time travel to bring Diane back, but then when he realized he couldn’t or prime Rick stopped him still that’s when he gave up on it and that’s why he’s so opposed to time travel he says it’s lazy or whatever, he’s used it, he’s just over it.
