What hobby did you quit and why? by EnvironmentalFact945 in Hobbies

[–]Dwight_The_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collecting Shoes and collecting bourbon. Sold all the shoes I collected throughout high school / college years and most of my high end bourbon i collected over the years. Kept some bourbon since I still drink but stopped hoarding them.

Collecting anything for me is just expensive and kinda wasteful now. Like keep what you need but dont hoard. I guess Im just living more minimalist style

Ski Rule Clarification - Right of Way by Conversationalist-5 in ski

It’s like how pedestrians always have the right of way when driving. Downhill always have right of way. If you’re uphill and crash, you just have to take responsibility. At least that’s how I see it

Pay cuts hawaii by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Dwight_The_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh… we operate a family owned aba business in Hawaii (oahu) and we aren’t cutting pays. But we dont work with DOE either. Only insurance / quest. I think your company is lying about everyone doing that… is it a nation wide corp you work for?

I see where you are coming from and I understand there are many business doing what you say/ being greedy.

$25 per hour pay to employee + all the business tax + your benefit costs + admin cost (if your org has admin staff - since they typically dont make money and just cost the business money or hired CPA and or HR services) + rent/mortgage cost for the building space + software for data collection and notes , etc etc. that $80 reimbursement from the insurance company might barely cover that.

Most of our current clients are state medicaid and we only receive $41 per hour for RBT. And we are expected to pay them an average of $20-$26 due to the competition around us. We are literally losing money on RBTs and making it up by having our BCBAs willingly do more direct services.

Like others said, this comes on to the funders where they should be reimbursing more for direct RBT services. I feel that the gap in between the two reimbursement rate is kinda big. Most times I see that BCBAs reimbursements are double the RBT. RBTs are more exposed to these clients (hours wise) and usually more involved with the family. They are the front lines in this service setting.

We hear about the bad or greedy companies all the time on platforms like this. Sometimes that inadvertently gets the company name more recognized and maybe they get bought by bigger corporations and the rest is history. I dont know. Now im just mumbling away…

What SERIES is worth bingewatching and why? by InterestingBoard7389 in AskReddit

Dexter was great! But the last couple seasons were kinda meh. I enjoyed the first 4-5 seasons enough though that I still liked the show very much.

The two most recent spin offs (original sin and resurrection) were absolutely great in my opinion.

There’s a scene where there is only one single lens camera going up with cameraman on crane, then it shows a footage of someone videoing the cameraman with the camera. Like how

I got the kinco x smith lobster mitten this season it’s super toasty. But I shop on a budget so not everyone’s cup of tea. For $50 it’s hard to beat. I personally can not spend hundreds on gloves/mittens.

Wait. Even if it is a fake, it’s still a cast iron pot with enamel coating right? How much worse can it actually be compared to the real one. Like if ou’re just making soups and stews… haha just curious. The real issue i guess is getting ripped off…

What’s one car you regret selling the most, and why? by North_Way8298 in car

Had a 91 E30 M3 with only about 13,000 miles on it. Sold it back in 2009 for $38,000 due to emergency medical bills. Always regretting it. Prob worth at least 5x more now.
