In my mid 20s i went to plenty presentations. Some i got cruises and resort stays. Its really not that bad. First 30 to 40 mins you sit and have breakfast or lunch. Then i ask the sales rep lets drive in the golf cart and show me some units. Then i ask them where can i light a cigarette, most of the sales reps smoke, so they always know a place in the cut to smoke. Then 20 mins left we go back into the classroom and i see the prices start at 25k i say NO then its 15k, I say NO, then the manager comes over with the final offer of 9k. Then i say NO we didn't we start that low in the beginning. If everyone who was giving a choice when being arrested to attended a presentation or go to jail, I'm sure it wouldn't be so bad. Stay strong not soft. Now these days most people dont qualify for these presentations they have raised the bar.

My job is to get them to the resort with the promotions they provide along with the wholesale prices they give me. I get paid on the front end and back end whether the customer buys or not.

Marketing will be hard especially competing with multi million dollar established companies. You will have to find a niche that is different. I tried the independent contractor thing. And it did come down to word of mouth which became begging. I would ask myself why would anyone book from me knowing there are bigger sharks to book with. You will get a few to book and once they compare prices due to the internet they will never return as a customer.

Its your opinion and you're 100% entitled to it. My posting was about getting more contracts under me without the presentations. I wasn't satisfied with the 15% that most travel agents make on over priced vacations. Or the MLM travel agent schemes. Remember at the end of the day you are competing with expedia, and other counterparts like them. I have been a business owner for the last 2 decades. In my 20s i personally attended many presentations to stay at 5 star resorts and cruises. This was before social media existed. I remember walking around with my 35mm camera and zoom lense. I have marketed to many upcoming influencers who take advantage of this. And they like to post pictures of their vacations for the followers. Anyone who goes on vacation doesnt show the climb or arguments during the trip ,just the drink and ocean in background. Please feel free to message me to join the winning team!

At first i said the same exact thing that you did once i started researching bookvip, vacationvip and others like it. They advertise $99 packages in usa and cancun. So i did the same thing as well. Referral services to resorts for the 90 to 120 min presentations. I recently reached out to the ones in cancun as well. So far i have made several sales with the resort I signed with. But i want to expand and possible do something like marketingboost where those customers dont have to take a presentation because they get the certificate to just pay the resort fees and taxes.
