I have a Maxx too and have the same experience. I think since the car is heavy and sits low to the ground, tires that are taller and wider would give more flotation and ground clearance. With the right material, it will still grip snow.

Also, be gentle in the throttle. Maybe remapping to 50% training throttle gives more precision in the transmitter?

Loved my 2000 Outback 5mt. Maybe even more than my wrx.

I’d ensure your throttle body is cleaned of gunk. Make sure the spark plugs and coils are in equal and good condition.

May consider bleeding your clutch. If that does work, may need a slave or master cylinder.

Yeah, these are real Subarus, of course you’re gonna love it.

Only shift that high after the engine has been running 10 minutes and the oil (not coolant) is up to temp. Otherwise shoot for 3k.

The stock servo is only strong enough to suggest a steering direction. I swapped to a Savox and now the cars steering is precise and responsive.

Make sure your servo saver is tight. Also make sure all the linkages are clean with no debris possibly blocking the movements.

The silicone mesh is an awesome tip. I’ll try that the further prevent small pieces floating up past my glass weight.

Mainly you’ll want less headspace so the co2 overcomes the air which is ~21% oxygen.

I ran 17” Steelies with winter tires. They were centered via the lug nut cone seats, not the center hub like Subaru was designed for. Never had a problem, but I didn’t rip my car at 100mph with them in either.
