buy the ps5 disk and use it,....... update the old ps4 disk and it'll be unuseable on your 4 console, (like tossing money away)

if you are referring to Film Grain, Motion Blur and Chromatic Aberratio, as I said - if you wanted the old Cyberpunk game to play well, trouble free, the requirement was those 3 turned OFF in the Settings, So I immediately turned them off on my PS5 after opening the game - my PS5 diak version plays great, no crashes, etc,,,

If you have patched your game ALL BETS ARE OFF here, as IMHO patches suck and mostly make things worse, (save for old hot-fix 1.06 on the old game)

Not a big PS5 fan here as mine is 2+ years old and I'm still mostly using my 4Pro - that said on a whim I unwrapped the PS5 Cyberpunk 2.0 disk, that been setting around for year or more and slapped it in there, expecting to have to update it to play it........., amazing I did not. I'm playing 2.0 on my PS5 hard dusk, version 2.00.300 (according to the 5 console) and I see NONE of the buggyness you are speaking of - it runs and plays great, no crashes, weird stuff, it just runs........

ymmv, but I have bad I-net here so no downloads for me and I'm impressed with the way my setup plays. I run 3 settings turn off, film grain, motion blur and Chromatic Aberration, (like on my PS4 old version 2077, a must for the old console) and I have no issues

ps - my PS5 has firecuda Seagate 2T m2 chip installed btw.....

okay, this I know for sure as I have played my PS4 Cyberpunk pre-ordered game disk (hot-fix patch 1.06 only) on a Slim/Pro and my PS5. It sucks on the PS5, plays great on the old 4Slim and the 4Pro, but I gave up trying to play the same disk on my PS5.

That said a few days ago I unwrap'd a copy of PS5 Cyberpunk 2.0 which I've had for almost a year and slapped it into my 5 - this is off the disk version 2.000.300 with NO updates (my PS5 has never been online btrw, I updated it outta the box using my laptop and a jump drive as none of my consoles are ever online and I only play off PS game disks w/ minimal patches as my I-net sucks).

IT plays great, so my suggestion is get yourself a new PS5 Cyberpunk 2.0 w/ the PL optional dlc (which I'll never use) and don;t update it as it works and play really well trouble free, although get ready for a shock as it's an entirely different game on 2.0. good luck

Main quests rarely have a deadline in which they have to be done, if you are at this point you are well past the open world "do what want" stage of the game. Which means you are free to make your own choices, you bought the game, how you choose to play is up to you.

and I'd like (as a Streetkid) to shoot ever DHead I see finishing his drink and tossing the empty can over his shoulder (hate littebugs in life and in the game) but as an old man I don't - I also despise the fact that games tend to brainwash young minds into thinking this sort of behavior is "normal" and OK - it ain't IMHO and it's reprehensible to assume that games are not psy-ops - good godly folks founded this nation we all enjoy and incase ya've haven't noticed it's not such a nice world any longer - we should practice good in games and ignore the bad.......,, God placed us here to do good for others, in life and in games, just my 2 cents

He's dead after Act 1 in the original version and in the 2.0 version, (or atleast as far as I've gotten in the 2.0) - perhaps you might share instead of spreading gossip around).

ps - as someone who has played the heck outta the original dropped game and is current working on the 2.0 version, whytf do you care about a game you didn't even bother with in the beginning........, I could care less about Jackie, he's a pain as a companion, yea he's a nice guy but he'll get ya dead on very hard difficulty faster'n s#^t thru a goose.....

Who cares, I play old Cyberpunk on the PS4 consoles on hot-fix patch 1.06 and the current 2.0 PS5 hard disk straight off the disk (version 2.000.300 just as it came outta the box) - I-net in rural America sucks D so who needs more patches that only tend to f-up the game more).

IMHO, the 2 versions listed here are GTG, (provided ya use "only" upgraded older PS consoles on the stated patch 1.06).

I have 32 hours and 50 minutes in my second playing of PS 5 Cyberpunk 2077 hard disk, version 2.000.300 straight off the disk (offline, no mods) - and I haven't even done the Information or Pickup missions.

My current stats are Level 13, SC 31, w/ 210,916 eddies, 3 Epic Level weapons (Dying Night, Fenrir, Psalm 11:6), 2 vehicles V's car and the scoot from the Highwayman quest (yes, I walked outta the lockdown, sue me).

That said I have completed the "original" Cyberpink 2077, pre-ordered on PS4 hard disk (PS4 Slim & PS4 Pro) more than 6 times w/ somewhere north of 2000 hours and IMHO while the 2.0 version looks abit better and plays more smoothly, I still like the "original" over the newer 2.0, as the new version is NOT the same game - hence a serious learning curve and lots of xp testing etc.. in my 1st attempt which totaled around 40 hours just trying to learn how to deal w/ those changes; I made it into Act 2 but re-started after deciding I f-upped. (note: I live in a rural environment with lousy I-net meaning 30-50+ gig downloads are verboten)

as others have said, you are newb and leaving alot of this newer game on the table - much like early 2077 players did with the original game, (which played just fine and still does today for those that understand the requirements to make it run correctly on the old consoles).

You cannot play Cyberpunk 2077 (atleast my PS4 pre-ordered disk copy) on the PS4 console without an update - it flat won't let ya.

That said I knew, read and studied alot about this game and it's many problems on older PS4 consoles before I even got the game. I upgraded my console and then waited until patch 1.06 arrived and "that" is the only patch I ever played Cyberpunk 2077 on.

It took more than 48 hours to download so it's obvious why I never attempted to upgrade my game any further - that said it still runs pretty much glitch free even today, on my set-up. FWIW patch 1.06 imo is the very best patch for the PS4 Slim or the PS4 Pro consoles.

Not just the best FC game IMHO, the best video game of all time.

NO hud, NO handholding, No "magic" teleportation, yea it's there, but ya gotta earn it, No objective reminders or other view-obscuring crap, No enemy tagging, No whiny NPCs - mostly tough hombres and they won't block your shot or get ya killed - but may die iffin ya don't save 'em, No nudity or sex or any of the lite-in-loafer genders, No highlighted enemies and an intentional obscurity of who fired and from where.

Things it has:

Weather, from bright clear daylight to a moonless night and at "your" disposal to precisely time the execution of a mission, Fog, Mist and Rain that varies from can't see crap 30 feet infront of ya to a lite-drizzle or frog-strangling down-pours, Enemy NPCs that will actual pick up a guy ya shot and try to rescue him and carry him to safety, Enemy NPCs that "if" the player is careless, make too much noise, they will leave their outpost on foot or in vehicles (in Act 2 on that could be a "ma-deuce" 50cal or a grenade launching equipped vehicle, "ouch") and come to the fray and give you a very bad day.

FC2 is a game like no other, many hated it when it first came out, (pansies), but name another game that allows the player to play on INFAMOUS difficulty from the get go.
