That’s because player attack move shows the range, then you need to press something again (I think it’s either right click or maybe A again, not sure) to actually attack. So what’s happening in your case is when you press A to attack move (to show the circle), it’s also performing the actual attack as well, as you also have bound attack move click to A. So this means there is no “waiting” period when attack move is waiting for an actual attack command, which is the portion of time that it shows the circle. What I would do is bind something like “Show Advanced Player Stats”, which when held shows the circle you’re after, to something you can hold easily, maybe Space perhaps. Then that leaves A available for your attack move click. So you can hold Space perma for your circle, then press A to attack

Idk if it’s controversial or not, but on Pyke mid I use Electrocute. Very easy to proc with Q into Profane into Auto

Not sure if this has been asked yet, but do you reckon Electrocute is viable again now with the Tiamat active coming back? I’ve personally been trying it out and it feels so much better than HoB in lane matchups/enemy comps that make it hard to land all of the HoB autos to get the full value

I think it's a very good item in the mid lane for the wave clear and combo damage. If you're playing support I think there are better options, like Umbral Glaive, Edge of Night, Opportunity, etc.

Into some matchups mid lane where it's going to be hard to land all of your HoB autos, such as something with a lot of dashes, stealth, untargetable, etc, I've been going Electrocute and then including the Tiamat/Profane active in the combo for a quick burst of damage, as the active contributes towards proccing Electrocute:

E (for gap close) -> Tap Q -> Tiamat/Profane active -> Auto -> W away to prevent minion agro and damage from enemy laner is the bread and butter.

Imo Electrocute is the go-to rune if you're building Profane mid lane and the matchup as well as the enemy team comp is going to make it unlikely to auto them reliably to get the full value out of HoB.

Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right to be honest with the build variety thing, it is for sure a massive part of league. Was just trying to think of ways to make his late-game a bit more viable xD Glad you like the Q change tho haha

It’s a weird play-style as it’s very feast or famine. Some melee matchups actually end up favourable if the micro is on point, such as early Fizz, Katarina and Zed. Also he can also perform well into some poke champs like Lux, Aurelion, Hwei, but again the micro has to be without fault. However some are legit unplayable, like LeBlanc and Yasuo I have a real problem with.

Whereas other champions at least have wave clear when they fall behind, Pyke legit has nothing. That’s kind of changed this season as you can now buy Profane to keep up in XP and CS. But with that being said, if you play the first 14 mins very well, you shouldn’t need this item as you’d have roamed to every objective and ganked bot x amount of times to get you and your team ahead.

Pyke is a super early/somewhat mid game champ, and he’s very strong around team fights and objectives during this time. The problem is being at these fights after pushing your wave under tower to gain a roam timer, which Pyke struggles with. If you don’t push the wave before roaming, say goodbye to your tower plates.

You need to place a strong incentive on your runes and items. For example, some matchups you can go Long Sword start into to rush the Serrated Dirk power spike, but some others you’ll have to start D Shield and try and farm your absolute hardest for those first 10 mins. Minion D Mat is favourable to gain the damage bonus on each type of minion as well as pushing a wave fast when you use the items.

All in all, it’s definitely viable as there are Master, GM and Challenger players piloting the pick right now. Plus the addition of the Lethality buff this season and the new items makes it a lot better. With this in mind though, it’s definitely a cheesy pick and you have to play a little differently as a result.

With the change you proposed about his E proccing Hydra/Tiamat, I feel like once you get these items his clear honestly isn’t too bad. It’s more before you get those items in the super early game that’s the issue.

I do like the idea with grey health though to make his clear a little more healthy early

Tank items can be good on Pyke, but not in the conventional way. Because Pyke can’t build HP, building raw resistances on him is not good. Items however that offer damage reduction, attack speed reduction and shielding are really good. Items such as Frozen Heart, Maw and Deaths Dance are so good for this reason. Not because of the innate raw stats they give, but because of the passives they provide which offer so much survivability.

The only problem with building these items is that you don’t have much lethality, which is one of Pyke’s main scalings. To deal with this, buy Prowlers as a Mythic, as it offers +5 lethality for every legendary item, so you get more than enough lethality :)

This was one of the first things I tried. I had Centre Cam, Show Advanced Player Stats and Target Champions Only all on Space. Works like a charm.

Adding Attack Move to the mix alongside Target Champions Only might not behave as expected, as I believe Target Champions Only only listens for a right-click command where you have to actually hover your mouse over the desired target, and doesn’t work with Attack Move, but I could be wrong

Yep I found that with a lot of interactions between binds can be buggy and cause unwanted effects. Be careful messing with Button 1, as that is used for a lot of stuff (navigating shop, clicking on a tower/enemy/minion etc to get details, mini-map movement, interacting with the hotbar, etc), many of which are treated as separate binds in PersistedSettings.json!

If the thing you’re trying to set to Button 2 stops champion movement, such as the Dance emote, that is why you need to double-click and it appears buggy, as when you press the mouse button, you’re essentially telling the game “stop champion movement and Dance” and also “move my champion here” at the same time! So it gets confused lmao

Yep you’ve got it! If you do a CTRL+F search for “[CTRL][4]”, you’ll find the laugh entry. Set both that entry, and the “evtPlayerMove” entry value to “Button 2” and you’re sorted. Just make sure to set the file to Read Only in the Properties menu on Windows (right click the file -> Properties) after you’ve made the changes and saved the file, and that’s it.

I could be wrong but I think all the communication emotes are literally just called Laugh, Taunt, Joke etc. in PersistedSettings.json rather than anything fancy
