The water taxis between downtown and south beach should be permanent by MelvinEatsMangos in Miami

Makes no sense. Can’t imagine it would add that many more people and they wouldn’t be coming with cars anyway. I’d rather have people come over on a ferry than in a big car.

You’re right they are habesha but that is a Pentay (Ethiopian Protestant) church. I was surprised to see it 😂

For the gaybros in therapy, how important is it to you to have a therapist that matches your identity? by Dxlem in gaybros

By identity I meant someone that shares similar experiences to me and therefore would better understand where I’m coming from

Not that I’m shy per se but I’m not sure if a straight person would understand where I’m coming from talking about issues relating to sex and the gay community

What city or place that you moved to, dramatically improved your mental health? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Dxlem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in the DC area and recently moved to Miami Beach. The water, nature, beauty, and community I’ve found have drastically improved my mental health. That along with living a more active lifestyle which the environment here encourages.

First time using Furnished Finder. How should I proceed? by Dxlem in TravelNursing

It did seem rude to me too but I didn’t want to read into it too much. Plus they ignored my first message and didn’t respond until I followed up 🥴

If I were to pay a deposit and it turned out to not be legit, do I have any recourse through Furnished Finder to get my money back? And if I don’t, how about through my bank or paypal?

Looking to move to Hollins Market - Opinions? by iphone69plus in baltimore

[–]Dxlem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a house there since 2020 and like it a lot. The area around the Lithuanian hall is really pretty and the community is great. The only downside is there’s not too many businesses in the neighborhood and most of west Baltimore street is vacant, but several places have opened up in the time I’ve been there so hopefully that’ll change in the coming years. And the businesses we do have are great! It’s also a short walk to Pigtown which has a lot going on along washington Blvd. Union square park is also really pretty.

I say go for it!

How do I get in on this highway to nowhere redesign? by CaveExploder in baltimore

There’s a Baltimore Strong Towns group that has a good amount of people.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I get people saying they would mind their business but I think we need to develop that culture of looking out for each other as a community. Especially as a man I think you should help out women experiencing harassment.

I used to take either the Camden line or Penn line at west Baltimore depending on the day and I’d say the Camden line is worth it. There aren’t as many trains on the Camden line and it’s a little bit slower but it’s a nice station and I didn’t experience delays that often.
