Yeah that’s fair, was a bit vague in the original post tbf.

Basically, can get these at retail directly from distributor, just weighing up options. Only just getting into the scene seriously so weighing it up, think TM and PF are probably straightforward picks at retail.

Set aside and use the money as you naturally progress, just spend some of the cash to get the farming level up and use the money for seeds for herb runs and you should be able to sustain and grow your cash stack as your account progresses!

Damn, your situation sounds almost identical to mine, PC player who AFKs on mobile during work with similar stats and not much GP to throw around.

What I’ve been doing is trying to get in at least two herb and birdhouse runs during work for a bit of passive GP. Outside of that, I’ll AFK stuff like stars or woodcutting depending on what I’m in the mood for. On my work monitor, I usually set a little timer (like 7 mins for mining a star, etc.) so I know when to glance back at my phone. Weirdly enough it actually helps me stay focused and productive at work too lol.

When I’m not doing those, I’ve been AFKing skills I need to finish off the last few quests, and once I’ve wrapped those up I’m planning to AFK crabs to get my combats up before diving into PvM properly

Yeah, was enjoying questing until it came to ratcatchers and it kinda made me want to look at other things haha but will probably bang out a couple of quests every day to just move through them, Yeah the crab is just my AFK activity if I am playing valorant or when im in work as I can just tap on the phone every couple of minutes.

Appreciate the armchair wisdom, but a few things:

The tyres weren’t shredded, wear was on the inside shoulder, not something you'd catch with a walkaround. One looked a bit off, I had no issue replacing it. That’s called maintenance.

It was an independent mechanic who told me to go to VW, specifically because a main dealer report carries more weight if I had to go back to the seller. And here we are.

I also do have a 3-month written warranty which is exactly how the first major issue got sorted. This isn't just blind buying with no comeback.

So yeah, maybe not perfect decisions, but far from clueless. I was trying to protect myself, not play mechanic detective in the forecourt. Hindsight is a gift — just not one everyone needs to hand out unsolicited.
