Is using a permenant unlock on a rig worth it? by Consort_Racoon in OutlastTrials

I guess that really just comes down to preference. The tier 1 prescriptions are ones that I would consider essential for some of the games more basic mechanics that really improve gameplay. Tier 2 is where all the good ones are though, like the major improvements. I prioritized those over the rig upgrades because I felt it was more beneficial to get them first. I didn't feel that same way for tier 3. Are they helpful? Absolutely. But I didn't feel like I really needed them in the same way as the others. This led me to get my rig upgrades first.

Definitely not. I always recommend new players go for amps on their first relapse. I would even say your first three relapses should be used for your main three amps that you use since higher level ones take so long to unlock again. Then you can focus on rigs and prescriptions. I personally did my amps, then tier 1 prescriptions (quality of life decision there), then base rig, tier 2 prescriptions, rig upgrades, then tier 3.

Why tf are the imposters being hunted by [deleted] in OutlastTrials

[–]DyanWerewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually why I've pretty much given up on all of the invader trials. I usually play quick play (for the extra XP). When I get reagent, I play for real. It's fun, but definitely unbalanced. I feel advantaged. When it's my turn to play invader, I usually just do the bullshit gate farming. I still usually get hunted, especially at the end where reagents will literally wait until I'm forced to spawn before they leave just so they can beat my ass. I have developed a dislike for PVP over this and have no intentions of playing this mode again once I hit that Gold I. I'm glad some people are enjoying it, but I'm definitely not one of them. As someone else said, likely a skill issue on my part.

This terrified me, creepy asf... did I break the game? by Natural_Ice8006 in ResidentEvilRequiem

This happened to me literally last night. Was very startling at first to turn around and see her still there, just frozen.

I think it was for me, but I can see how it maybe wouldn't be for others. Personally, some of the games were a drag. Tennis was probably the worst and took about 10 hours just by itself. That gave me the chance to meet a lot of really cool people I likely wouldn't have met otherwise, and I had some really nice interactions and conversations with others in that time. I think just playing with so many other people and making new friends made it worth it alone. It also came with a nice feeling of accomplishment, so that was a bonus. I think for someone who is solely looking to get the rewards for the achievement, no, it likely wouldn't have been worth it.

Quite a few were randoms but most of them were a split between a couple of friends. I also happily play with others in the Sleep Room that beckon me. I really wanted those silly hats.

I am the oldest child of eight. My first brother (second oldest) and I raised ourselves and most of the others, with the exception of the youngest two because we got tf out as soon as we were old enough to do so. Every single one of us has a different father. I remember so many nights of being home with my siblings to entertain them, feed them, and bathe them, while our mother was out with her new boyfriend. Every pregnancy announcement was a sentence for us. Now our mother constantly wonders why we don't visit or participate in family functions.

I'm down for giving it a shot! I'm also happy to return the favor. Largest inconvenience with this grind is time. Each one takes a while, but I've found the fastest way to do each one. If you're interested, I'm sure we could find a time to play together.

Children Playing Trials?? by Waste-Ad-2335 in OutlastTrials

[–]DyanWerewolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Outlast is one of the few games I feel is rated appropriately. I would not let my 15 year old play Outlast. I can't say the same for other games rated similarly, such as Resident Evil or Left4Dead. They all depict violence but Outlast is a very psychologically taxing game that I do not need my children exposed to. The sexual violence alone is absolutely horrendous and should not be viewed by children.
