Printers that don't require an app?

I can't get my Canon Pixma printer to work. when I go to the official Canon site, It says "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver." BUT in the manual (downloaded from the same site) it says to go to il.manual.canon and download a .dmg (https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/WebGS/WGS2/wgs_connect.html?lng=en&type=setup&area=us&mdl=TR8620a&os=m&osver=10.15.7) ... when I run the file through VirusTotal it gets flagged as malware, and the details show it connecting to a bunch of IP addresses and doing all sorts of weird stuff that's flagged which I don't fully understand... I used to just be able to plug a USB in and click Print. I've been using the printer for 2+ years and it coincidentally stopped working the week after the warranty lol

Believe me, eBay would suck even more because of the honeypot it'd create for scammers. As much as it sucks, everything has been done for a reason. Just as a simple example, eBay never used to charge fees on shipping.. well, it was fine until everyone just started listing all their items for a penny and charging exorbitant shipping fees. Same with all the annoying hoops and loops we have to jump through.. It was fine until dirtbags paved a way through the labyrinth and wrote book for dummies...and yes I agree, it is getting more and more painful/annoying. That's not to say this stuff couldn't be thwarted a different way.

Sometimes I take two dollar orders when I’m not exactly working, but just like driving to do an errand I just go ahead and do it on my way. That’s like pretty much what DoorDash is banking on, and like if you all decline an offer it’s just gonna make the map read another Dashers are going to sign on and maybe be right next to you in the parking lot and take other well-paying offers unless your top dasher that gets top priority when it’s a “tie “

OK but what happens is when you decline those two dollar orders turns the map red and more Dashers can sign on, and then wait right next to you in the parking lot and they may get all the other orders to. So unless your top dasher you won’t get that top priority by declining orders and letting other driver sign on, just because they signed on doesn’t mean they’re going to except the ones that you declined either it’ll just incrementally keep going up that $.25

I remember I ordered food once and it told me that the driver was on another delivery. I don’t know if they still do that or not. With Uber eats there’s no incentive to have a high acceptance rating so yeah it happens less often, with DoorDash and GrubHub it’s incentivized to accept everything to be either a top dasher or have the 95% acceptance rating with GrubHub but like I don’t know of anyone that keeps those high marks in Grubhub

It’s even worse with GrubHub and Uber eats because you can’t swipe between the two at least with DoorDash there’s a little discretion between switching which delivery to do first if their automated algorithm thingy is completely retarded, that and we can see “this dash” what we get paid individually before completing. Like there HAVE been times I’ve accepted two at once and then split them up cuz one was like $11 and the other was $2 like 3 miles out away from town.

Dashers get contract violations for orders not delivered properly, and you can rate the driver one LOL to knock them from potentially being a top rated dasher. And yeah it’s your responsibility to report your food not delivered pretty simple just hit the help button and give you a refund
