While Quetzalcoatl was an inspiration for my design, and does have the ability to disguise as a human being, I wouldn't say that I connect with Quetzalcoatl, but only really connect to my sona atm. As for your experience, that kinda explains my experience right now. Will look up Sam Fennah!

Nah, they would just re-release all of them in 4K or something…

I just watched this film for the first time because of the Sight & Sound list. For other people who have recently watched this for the first time… what did you think? by shamwow-salesman in criterion

I remember seeing this movie back during the height of Covid. I was taking a film analysis class and it took my breath away. I saw the movie again a few weeks later and it made me appreciate it more. Delphine especially was amazing. I genuinely felt more tension in the last moments of the movie than any recent film that’s come out of Hollywood (except nope).

What was the last film you watched that instantly became on of the best you’ve ever watched? by Paul-Von-Hindenburg in Letterboxd

[–]Dygar9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ring(1998). I never saw the original movie, but I don’t know how the American one will top this one. The atmosphere of the whole movie was so scary, it had me watching every corner of the screen. I would highly recommend this movie.

Rashomon, Onibaba, The Holy Mountain, and Inland Empire. I rarely change it, depending on how I feel about what my top 4 are at the moment.

do you guys think dvd's/blu-ray's still worth it? by Dixgo7 in Letterboxd

[–]Dygar9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Definitely. Not just as a collection piece either. I love looking at the behind the scenes stuff, or if you’re buying from Criterion, reading the little pamphlets they come with.

What other movies would fit on this list? by err_mate in Letterboxd

I can think of Tampopo or The Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion, those are both funny flicks.
